Logs
On our trip from Birdsville to Broken Hill with our caravan on tow.
The track was very rocky and bumpy after having had so much Big Red Bash traffic. We parked the caravan on Innamincka Town common
then headed out to explore to find these caches. That is after realising how we had misloaded the GPSr and didnt have any caches at
the dig tree.
Great to now be finding some caches and exploring the history of the area.

We are enjoying our outback adventure visiting lots of historical sites around here.
Such a tragic tale. They were so close to succeeding.

My son Jeremy and I had headed to Innamincka to look for some of the Burke and Wills sites. We headed up to Burke's grave in the afternoon.

Found during our winter holiday to Innaminka. Reading Sarah Murgatroyds book "The Dig Tree" brings the whole story to life (or Death).
The Creek is still running high at the moment and the area is alive with birds. Hard to imagine the place 150 years ago.
Our first stop for the day and had the place to ourselves.
