The first time ever we've looked around Canowindra instead of driving through. The sign is right, it is a town of historic buildings. TFTC SamWalkers.

Not sure about this cache, or where the Belubula is. But if it's the water under the swing bridge, I did cross that to log GC3505K - Swing Me Baby. I also drank an iced coffee milk while here (hot, thirsty day). TFTC.

This is the first day of our 5 week trip around inland NSW. We had decided to have a short day as we needed to vote before leaving the ACT. After leaving the van at our camp we drove back into town. What fabulous buildings - no wonder it is advertised as the historic town centre. Pa drove us to the GZ then I walked over the bridge and met him on the other side. Wandering the street we soon came across the second plaque and obtained the required photos. Thanks for this interesting history lesson SamWalkers and for bringing us here. Great work.

GrimRaider and I stopped off to check out the initial location and read about the history of theses pubs. Crossed the bridge and noticed the low level of water in the river. Back to the car and took a short drive to the other pub. Love learning about the bushranger history TFTC
funnily enough, it's actually lunch time. but I have my heart set on a bakery. so I'm sending you photo proof of visiting the memorial and crossing the river.
Note: Photo didn't load with log through app. Photo lost.

#GA2430 - 16:55; Day five, the last day of the summer sojourn in the Blue Mountains with the geohoney. After an enjoyable few days based in Leura, the time had come to pack up and head for home. It was also time to do one last quick caching run around the area while the other half finished getting ready for the trip. After collecting some caches in Leura and doing a sweep through Wentworth Falls, we were now packed up and headed for home the back way through Bathurst, Orange and Canowindra with a view to adding a few caches as well as a few dragonZones to the tally. After reaching Bathurst we headed off to have a look at the Mount Panorama circuit, stopping for some trigs along the way as well as at the top of the mountain A few more stops as we passed back through the town and along the highway and then in Orange as we passed through. We had now reached Canowindra, our last planned stop for the mission. Stopped off to visit the plaque as we headed off for Canberra. TFTC SamWalkers

Wow, nearly 2 years since a find on this one.
Drove to the given coordinates where we read the info plaques. Checked out the bridge but then as it was late in the day we drove to the final location, being lucky enough to get a parking space big enough for the van right near GZ.
Thanks.

Stopped by on the way to Stanthorpe for the QLD Mega. Found the first site and then headed over to the Hotel for the photo.
Interesting reading, thanks SamWalkers......

Travelling to Cowra with van in tow we enjoyed our visit to this site and the walk across the suspension bridge into town.

Found on the NSW leg of our Round Aust trip
Leaving Forbes today to head towards Bathurst, took the scenic country route so we could stop and see the AMAZING fossil museum, the kids really loved this!
TFTC
Was a bit of a challenge with a caravan in tow but we managed to park nearby and walk to the suspension bridge, would not have found this without the cache here, thanks for bringing us here.

On a rare dog- and child-free trip, Black Bunny wanted to get as many caches as he could, while the getting was good.
I enjoyed reading about the history - and the error made some years ago. Black Bunny took photographs and will upload them. One includes me, so you can see I was in the vicinity. I hope this is good enough.

A quick grab with Just a cacher on a run to Bathurst for Australia Day. No one around to disturb the compulsory entertainment and refreshment this morning and nice to see a town with a few hitels to share the load.
Thanks for the cache SamWalkers

I was traveling up to Orange for the Weekend and gathering alot of caches well off the main highway this time.
I've been from Canberra via Canowindra more times than I can think and its not that often I stop, but this time i noticed a few caches published in the town, including on I snagged a FTF yesterday nice.
But I love a good swing bridge (posted on my FB account)
I visited a pub in town which showed one of the Robinsons owned it so I guess thats the one , right?

I took the time to visit both ends of this cache. I have eaten at the new pub on the real site when here for a balloon even some years past now. A nice sunny day today and the place was really busy. Thanks

I had my eye on this a while knowing I would be passing through town soon. So I did some planning and I held up the Hotel myself! Muhahaha!
OK not really, but the hotel which now stands on the site of the holdup is called "The Royal" and inside you will find some great history on the raids and rangers. I spent the night here passing through town after visiting the memorial for the FTF Cheap bed, good eats, friendly staff... the pub celebrates turning 100 years next month too!
Cheers from Sydney
