Description
An eclipse tin hidden in a tree
You will need a TOTT (Tool Of The Trade) to retrieve this cache, your name MUST be in the logbook to be able to log a find on this cache!
Having done a few pole caches on the big island I want to do a bit of a series down here and see how they are received as the ones I did were great fun and I had a wonderful time completing them.
This cache was placed with the aid of a 7m fishing pole, please replace the cache where you retreived it from.
If cachers like this one i'll place some more, since I would like to do something a little different.
The D/T is my personal rating of this hide.
Waterproof Paper has been used for the logbook.

out getting other caches in the area so this was on the list also, TFTC TNLN log dry some baby plovers were near so we trod lightly.
Borrowing Mr W's purpose built tool we were ready for another challenge.
After locating the correct tree we manoevered the pole into position and hooked the cache. Wind gusts made the return of the cache interesting, safely returned on the 2nd attempt.
Many thanks SSR for placing this cache. Recommended

We were staying near by and as the tools were in the car we decided to check out the pole caches in the area. Fortunately all was quiet here which meant we were able to circle the the tree and quickly spot the cache. Our tool made for a quick retrieval. We admired the neat construction.
Thanks for this cache Stainless-Steel-Rat. It was good to see the cache still in situ after yesterday's storm. We had no trouble returning the container to the right elevation.

Hi SSR
You know i found this cache because you watched me do it.
i was more a fan of fly fishing but usually i wouldn't catch anything. My mother had surf rods but even they wouldn't make it to this.
i like the concept and the heat shrink.
thanks for getting me to do more GCAs as well.

Hi SSRat
Had some fun with this one thanks
Spent yesterday constructing a pole I thought would work - that was fun and kept me occupied
Had arranged to meet with whitewebbs for security
Arrived at GZ nad said hi to my two amigos
Constructed my pole and while doing so, heaps of giggles and laughs
Was given some good advice as to how my pole should be used - more giggles and laughs
Got to the cache and was trying to extract it when my "knob" fell off my "tool" - my tool was now knobless which was stuck up the structure (That's painful!)
Mrs W thought me loosing my knob was hilarous - me, I was totally embarressed!!!
Mr W was king enoght to then put his tool together in order to retrieve my knob for me and to extract the cache from its hide
The cache was Sainted and the log signed at 1050 hours
The cache was replaced without further harm or embarressment!!!
Thanks for the fun and congrats on placing the first ROD (fishing) cache in Tasmania
Cheers OldSaint

FTF @ 2.45 pm. Yes we did need a pole (Mr W made a 7 m tool) while I solved the jigsaw for the nearby GC cache. Parked close to GZ and managed to retrieve and sign the log and return. Thanks SSR for the first pole cache in Tassie, highly recommended as lots of fun. TFTC
