Description

With views to Bells Rapids from these huge Olive trees, this is a great spot for a picnic.

It is approx. a 1.5km round trip from the parking area at the end of Copley Rd  S31°46.386' E116°03.098'

A nice area to sit in the shade of the Olive tree's while you sign the log book and admire the view.  It is a great time of the year to be heading up here before it gets too hot and while it is green and lush and the flowers are popping up everywhere.  I come across Kangaroo's everytime I visit this area and quite often a small herd of goats as well.

The cache you are looking for is a camo painted 3Ltr Sistema container with my usual Log Book, Pencil, Sharpener, Swaps and Finders Cards.  There is also a 1stTF prize and a 1stTF, 2ndTF & 3rdTF Certificate.

Make sure you have plenty of drinking water with you when walking in this area.

Headed up to Jumbuck Hill today to do the GCA caches and a couple of GC ones as well. This was the last of the traditionals and another quick find. Noticed that a recent log was written by a muggle family who found the cache by mistake. It's nice when muggles treat geocaches with respect ... unfortunately, my next log on your multi tells a different story.

Signed the log.

Thanks for the hide Outenabout

Found the cache completely exposed, all was good and intact. Didn't leave it as I found it, left with a little more cover. Thanks Outenabout for bringing us to the area (and the much needed exercise.)

Amazing location, pity more geocachers don't head out this way although by the logs in the book several hikers have found the cache.
Easily found as it was just sitting on the rock, saw it from 10m away. Have covered it up a little better. TFTC.

Mr & Mrs Felix out hunting frogs RibbitRibbit a little further north today. Dropped back here to find a few caches aswell. Dancing

Bit of a decent hike in here, but all in all think we picked up 9 caches! Nice to cross these off before it get's way too hot to be in the area. Very Happy

Took some nice photo's in the area too! Saw another couple hiking in the area, they left as we got to one of the caches, but they hadn't signed the log so we guess they werent' cachers? Think

Cache in good condition too.

My kind of cache Very Happy Found with Blossom

As we walked around the hill to this cache, we spotted a huge kangaroo behind the first rows of grass trees. He popped his head up and looked at us and we waved back Big Grin He didn't seem to be too worried and we continued on to a very cool spot where strike-a-light was very tempted to lie down for a bit of a snooze! It's pretty sad to see the river below so dry and the trees and really suffering, hope it rains soon. TFTC

My daughter was competing in the State Dressage Championships at the State Equestrian Centre so I hitched a ride and took the opportunity to collect some of Outenabout’s caches in the area between dressage events.

Thanks outenabout for a nice walk in the hills.

Continued on to this cache after finding City Views and Bells and Beyond, and it was quite a trek coming directly down the hill to this one, the knees were getting a workout!

Another quick and easy find, and I grabbed a finders card here. Great day for a walk in the bush. Thanks for the cache Outenabout!

WOW who would have expected to find this old tree up here? We located the cache without any problems - no 3rd to find certificate here for us but we took a finders' card. An hour or so after finding this cache, as we were heading down to the car, we met a gentleman on the way into the park. He had a GPS in hand and we said the usual "good mornings" and then we asked if he was geocaching. In fact he was a new cacher who had found Olive Bells a few weeks ago and had claimed the 3rd to find. He had come back to the hill to seek out the others. We had a nice chat and hopefully introduced him to Geocaching.com. Very Happy
Thanks Outenabout for getting us to this area again.

I had planned to start in John Forrest NP to replace a missing waypoint for another cacher when this appeared as I was getting ready so I changed my plans and started here instead.

It was a nice walk up the hill and to the cache. Found without any trouble and blank log book signed.

Thanks for the cache and another *FTF* Very Happy .
