Description
This cache is place alongside the beautiful Mersey River. The location makes for a nice drive in the country. The cache location can be approched from both ends of the main road that is running past and over the bridge. Oh and yes it just happens to be another great fishing location.

it appears that the last find was before the 2016 floods and this area was along way under water so I believe that it been washed away.
We went to ground zero while driving through this area, using the hint we were unable to find this cache it appears that the last find was before the 2016 floods and this area was along way under water so I believe that it been washed away. Which is a shame cause this really is a nice place along the river.
We are happy the cash has been found. We were thinking that it may have gone missing. Well done guys . We hope to get some time soon so we to can go find some more ourselves. Cheers, Landys.
A quick find when we got to GZ. Well hidden and in very good condition after nearly three years without a find. Enjoy finding caches that have been unloved for a while! Hope it's not this long before it's next find. TFTC
Hi Landy_Clan
How long has been since I've been in this area shooting, fishing and canoeing - too long to remember, back in the 70's.
So thank you for taking us back through this beautiful country side; IT'S FANTASTIC!
Arrived at the bridge only to find heaps of muggles - oh,no! This is going to be hard to get, but looking at the GPS for the first time I had a small but enjoyable walk which would take me well out of their focus.
Ground zero was quickly found as was the cache and the log signed at 1205hrs.
I thouroughly enjoyed this cache.
TFTC and cheers;
OldSaint.

We went and had a look today and yep the flood had struck another Mersey cache. The origional cache had been washed out of its hidy hole. We have replaced the cache and it is in the origional spot. We doubt the river will flood like that again in the near future.
Have not been to this area before. Well worth a return visit when the river is not in flood. TNLN Thanks

Nice spot by the river, but I'll never understand why people dump rubbish in places like this.
Found easily...nice and snug. Great spot beside the river which looks quite fishy. TFTC landy_clan...Cheers.

Superb fishing spot indeed Landy_clan but I spent way too much time fishing the Minnow River up the road and I had run out of time.
I will be back another day for sure.
Thanks for the cache
I will be back another day for sure.
Thanks for the cache
Beaten again by about 4 hours. Noticed this one this morning but did not have time to grab it before an appointment. As it was still in the waiting 1st to find list later in the day we headed off. Was near dark when we got there and it took a while but we eventually found it in a place we had already looked. anaot to worry, a find is a find. Thanks.
It is ages since we have been up this way. the river was flowing strongly today after recent heavy rains but it was still very relaxing on the banks of the Mersey in reasonable sunshine. As no-one else had signed the log, we will claim a FTF. TFTC
