Description

Take it easy or hard to GZ but either way have fun!

Tbone and I dreamed of putting a cache in here in our early days of caching called "Super Urban Bush Bash".  The idea was to give new cachers an idea of "bush bashing" whilst not leaving the city.  Well time has moved on and Tbone doesn't cache anymore.  But I went back into this area with the dream of putting in a cache.  Well I didn't get too far before I spotted an interesting spot. So being quite dense bush, the cache is located near a path in the bush.  Hence "Urban Bush Bash", not "Super Urban Bush Bash".  One day, there will be another.....

The difficulty rating of 2 is not related to the hide style but more a reflection of the difficulty with a GPS under the trees and my generally dodgy coords.

The hint is explicit so use if you need it.

Entrance to bush path (if you don't want to bash) :: S 34° 25.134 E 150° 52.636

Parking :: S 34° 25.116 E 150° 52.530

Today I made the area of northern Wollongong unsafe with my geocaching activities. 23 finds, six GCA ones, two puzzles. A good time was had by all! Errr me.

I always like these bushland reserves, this one included! TFTC.

#GA650 - 14:05; Sol de lune and I had discussed a wild trig hunt in the Illawarra quite a while ago and today was the day we tried to bring home the bacon. We had collected a few on the way down the mountain and in to Kiama, before heading north for a DNF in Shellharbour then on to the main section of the Tour de Illawarra. Trigs weren't the only thing on the menu today though. We had a couple of puzzles, trads and a multi too. Initially arrived at a location on the wrong side of the creek, before finding a spot on the same street with access to a bridge over it. Parked the geomobile, then it was off to GZ where the cache was soon in hand. Once log signing duties were completed, it was off towards the city centre for another trig. Found with LuckyL10n on a day trip....

Spotted a way into the area and then followed the little arrow to GZ. Once there the cache was soon in hand. For a cache that has been there a while, it's certainly in good condition.

Thanks for showing us the area....

Another 2 year unfound cache, again it took longer than it should have to find the right access track, but once there the clue made it obvious where to look.
Cache in good condition if somewhat exposed but not likely to be muggled.
Thanks for the neat cache.

No longer up high but otherwise in very good condition

Did some maintenance. Looking good. Need to update the hint as it is now on the ground.

Finally found this cache, just before the sun went down. Great place to hide it, signed my username in the book! Thanks for the cache! SmileSmileSmile

Definitely a bit of a bash, although finding the right access path was harder than the rest of it.
Finding the actual cache once at GZ was slower than I expected as I was focused on the "wrong level" for too long.
Eventually I twigged and was able to sign and also scan.
thanks.

A pleasant, if what muddy, stroll to GZ and a quick grab after the fluffy event.

Thanks for another cache fluffyfish

A quick grab with Just a cacher after the Fluffy event. A bit muddy on the way in but a great little area for the cache.

Walked to this one from a nearby cache. I went to where my gps said to go. Which turned out I was on the wrong side of a small creek. I read the description and work out where I needed to go. Got to gz and Spotted the cache straight away. Nice hide TFTC took pathtag

Parked at the recommended spot, then found the entrance to the track, and thence to GZ for our 100th GCA cache! A nice little spot but not very peaceful with eastern music blaring from somewhere nearby. Thanks fluffyfish for the cache

Decided to hop on the train once again & go for a stroll. I checked the Google map before I left but that just lead me astray. Found a hard way in & an easy way out. I looked for quite sometime before I found the cache but wasn't going to leave empty handed. Took the bus but forgot to leave a swap. Thanks for the cache.
