Description

Camo'd container hidden in roadside feature.

Bigfoot? Susquatch? Yowie? BEWARE! He walks this land. Come and see if you don't believe me. And if you're game. People claim to have seen the big fella. Usually after dark. When they are alone (or with a dog) in remote bush. Dog definitely sees him but is not always a reliable witness. Ideally you should photograph the Yowie preferably with your GPS in the picture. But I am a realist and I know how hard it can be to remember the GPSr at times like this. So I will take the word of a geocacher. Or geodog. Watch for the sign "HOTEL" because the turn is just after that sign if you're coming from north. Take a big foot as a souvenir of your visit.

Hard to find,I had been staring at it all along, its well hidden.

Walked up and down the driveway, couldn’t see anything Confused I wonder if the heavy rains a couple day ago covered it...

I turned this frown upside down today. I was out here last month, and a storm had blow powerlines down and made a mess at GZ, but today everything is nice and tidy, and I was able to park 3m from GZ.

Found the cache quickly - everything is in good order, nice and dry. Thanks for another reason to visit this area of the Gold Coast!

I wanted this cache so badly today - as we got close to GZ, we saw a road closed sign and powerlines and trees strewn all over the place. Yesterday's storm certainly made a mess right through the valley. I'll grab this one next time I'm out this way.

#GA3006 - 16:00; Today it was time for the geotribe and I to head for the hills and so it was we made our way up and along the winding road and through multiple lots of roadwork to Tamborine Mountain. After a few stops on the way around, including a great walk to Curtis Falls and a nice lunch in Canungra, we were getting close to home base again when we stopped off to grab this cache. Another cache which has been waiting almost five years for a visit! This one was an easy find at GZ and in really good order despite the lack of attention in recent years. Out and about around hinze dam today, so I grabbed this one while I was there.
Spotted the hide while coming up the driveway. It's been a year since the last time it was found but it's still in perfect order.
Thanks bristracker

Dropped in on our way to Springbrook. We spotted the Yowie watching our every move but he couldn't scare us away from a cache find. Obviously there is another Yowie in the vicinity as there were baby footprints evident. TFTC

13-Jul-11
No Yowies today but several muggles on their way for refreshing beverage on the way home from work. TFTC

Wandered over to GZ, and while I was checking my GPS, Ms Wig walked straight up to it and said "Here it is" Rolling Eyes

Didn't see the yowie but did find his foot prints Wink. Thanks bristracker

No sign of the yowie today, only a picture of the said beast on a sign.

I did not find the real yowie but ended up with orange hands to prove that I had found the cache. (is that too much of a hint?)

TFTC Bristracker and another GCA *FTF*.

I grabbed the Lisa Simpson figurine and left a little piggie.
