Description
Congratulations EuDes on FTF.
A former grazing property, Lonesome was gazetted as a National Park in 1972 to protect scientific and aesthetic values. It lies along the edge of Carnarvon range and offers spectacular, panoramic views to the southern end of Arcadia Valley, Dawson River, the Carnarvon ranges and mountain spurs.
Early settlement in this beautiful part of Queensland which has become known as Arcadia Valley, took place prior to 1856. However right up until 1922 few leases had been granted. Most of them failed due to the tyranny of distance – from any markets and from other settlers – all because of the rugged landscape and poor roads.
Now to the cache. In order to find it you will need to solve the following puzzle while standing at the given coordinates. You will need paper and pencil. Once solved the coordinates for the hidden prize will be revealed.

Even if you don't continue down into the valley I suggest that you travel a little further to the lookout to see some magnificent scenery. Hopefully that taste will encourage you to take the steep road down into the valley, maybe as far as Arcadia itself and then on to the magical Lake Nuga Nuga. What a splendid country we live in. All this found because of one cache. Good luck.

Once at WP1, I was making a bit of a meal of the info but eventually I got things sorted and had some numbers that looked reasonable. There seemed to be a couple of things missing in the easts though. One was self-rectifying but the second required a bit of a guestimate. Thankfully that guesstimate proved correct and once at GZ, a short search had me with the stash in hand at 13:20 for our second GCA FTF of this trip, both in Queensland, our 63rd GCA FTF and 135th overall.
TNLNSL. Many thanks for the diversion and the cache Smittengranny.
