Description

J & J's nineteenth cache hide. An easy traditional hidden at Billy Lights Point.

We've enjoyed our short caching holiday to Port Lincoln so much that we've decided to leave a cache of our own!

Initially, we wanted to leave a cache along the Parnkalla Trail where it traverses the Kirton Point caravan park, where we stayed. We felt that Billy Lights Point was a much nicer area, and visiting geocachers who normally wouldn't come this far, now have an excuse to.

Just a short stroll from the car park, this cache should be easy to locate. We've placed a couple of white rocks just next to the container so you know your getting warmer.

The coordinates were averaged down to 3.6 meters, so the magic arrow should be fairly reliable.

The cache container is a 1.2l Sistema painted black. It has a few swaps that've been bouncing around in our caching bag for a while, including a new LED headlamp, minus batteries.

Happy caching!

During our many visits to South Australia since 2011 we have found a considerable number of J_&_J GCA caches and have enjoyed every one. Caches are good guality, well presented, made to last and thoughtfully placed in interesting locations. We looked forward to our visit to Billy Lights Point today.

It was mid morning when we set off and although there were storm clouds on the horizon the water was flat and a number of fishermen were working close to the shore. The wild flowers are beginning to bloom beside the walking track and we had fun seeing who could spot the most.

When we arrived at the search zone we spent a while looking for the items mentioned in the hint without any luck. While completing a second circuit of the search area Mrs Y'stassie spotted a familiar object. Yes it was the cache, upside down but intact. Our GPS indicated we were 6m from the published coordinates. The container and contents were in excellent condition.

After signing the log we replaced the container and added two items mentioned in the hint. After admiring the vieww from GZ we made our way down to the beach.

Thanks for this cache J_&_J and for showing us this beautiful part of South Australia.

Got back there this morning and left 2 zip lock bags - one with a new log book and one with a couple of swaps. Have also placed two white stones near GZ s in original description. ClappingClapping

Headed off late in the day to grab the 5 caches along this trail. Were not hopeful of getting this one as there hadn't been any activity on it since November 2012.
Arriving at GZ a quick find was made of a nice solid black sistema container with a geocaching sticker in the lid. Unfortunately it was completely empty. We left our sticker in there and if we are able we will try to get back to it during our short stay in Port Lincoln and add a new cache book and some swaps.
Thanks, I think this may be the only GCA hide we find here which is a pity.

Our first GCA cache found, there don't seem to be many around here. Lovely spot, was a hot afternoon so we had tea on the beach with the kids before they helped us find the treasure I'm a Gnome, duh!

Went out after to work to find this one.

I have often been to this area but never walked down the path to the point before. A few people came past walking their dogs and there was also someone fishing from a boat offshore.

Coordinates were spot on and the white rocks made it a lot easier. A very good idea.

Took the Pathtag, Left Nothing
