... why not turn it into 2 events at the same time. ;)
So just log your will attend and turn up to the main event,
snap a photo at some stage to share with your log, and log your attendance online for this GCA event. There will be no physical log book.

It's 1.30am on Thursday morning and I'm thinking about this event. For me it had it's good bits, but also had it's not-so-good bits. I wish I could say they were about even, but in all honesty, the not-so-good bits definitely outweighed the good. I know no one will ever read this, but if they did, I just want to note that it was no one moment or person or conversation, but a number of things and my own thoughts and feelings... and maybe my new meds. And all that mixed together has left me feeling a bit low. I want to run away again. But I know I can't outrun my mind and heart. Besides I have a job I've just committed to and hate letting people down so I have to stay a while now.
I was there too - really good to see and socialise with some geocachers again. Even got a surprise from someone I thought was 15,000km away. Food was good, music was good - even if it was older than me 
Really enjoyed myself, and was unaware that I was victim of the photo evidence of NT's log. Well, 2 can play at that game....

Well I was there. Was a great night even if it was gate crashed by some American fella.
I forgot about the photo requirement I added to this till Matty reminded me right before leaving so I got a pretty dodgy photo of a photo being taken. I haven't seen Renrocs photo yet but I told her to take it of anything and I think it was my empty cider bottle. Haha.
