Description

Let's go for a walk in the South-Western corner of Sundown National Park, where you can find a campground, a couple of wlking tracks, and (if not in drought) a broad body of water to paddle a kayak or swim in. There is one place that apparently can still have water in it in drought - The Permanent Waterhole. I'm not sure I'd go swimming in it if it got to that point though. On the day I hid this cache, the water was high and running slowly through, making for a beautiful little swim after the short walk to it. It's a pleasnat little walk and you have the option to continue your walk up the Ooline creekbed a little ways, or you could follow the Severn River 37km 3 day hike upstream past more waterholes to Blue Gorge and back.

To find this cache you will have to collect a few digits at three waypoints along the way to The Permanent Waterhole and the mouth of Ooline Creek.

WP1: S28 54.926 E151 35.191
This is the set coordinates for this multicache. Here you will find a sign made up of three planks of wood.
A = the number of times the letter T is found on the three planks.
B = How many Kilometers is displayed on the third plank down? Round up this number to get B.
D = number of letters in the second word on the thrid plank.

Here you will find a sign pointing in two different directions.
F = the number of planks on the sign pointing in a Northerly direction.
G = the number of times the letter E is found on the northerly pointing planks only.
H = the number of letters in the first word on the top northerly pointing plank.

Here you will find yet another sign.
C = the number of times the letter E is found on all planks.
I = the number of letters in the second word on the bottom plank.

Alrighty then. Now you have your coordinates, you can choose to stay and splash around a little in the water, go for a wander farther afield, just go find that geocache, or whatever you so desire within reason.

If you are interested in staying here the night, the campground is unpowered with a few sites a caravan could be pulled into without tricky reversing (the first few you come across) and more that tents, vans or RVs can be set up in easily. On your way into the campground near the National Parks Building is a tank and taps with drinking water and river water available to fill up your billy or do your dishes.
