Oura Beach

Oura Beach Reserve is a great spot to take in the Murrumbidgee River.

Located around a 20-minute drive from Wagga Wagga, the reserve is perfect for camping, fishing, kayaking or just enjoying a day out by the river for a picnic.

Pull up a seat on the Ageless Oura artwork, installed in 2016, which frames views of the river. Handcrafted by Wagga Wagga artist John Wood, these hardwood timber seats are framed by rust-coloured steel rings which blend beautifully into the landscape.

No bookings required for this campsite, for short term stays. It is a pet friendly area, however when outside dogs must be on lead. It also has toilet facilites for everyone to use.

The Cache:

This cache was placed and published in preparation for the 'Breakfast at the Beach' (GC9MHEJ) event. I wandered over to a nice spot along the river and found a nice little hidey hole, above the recent flood level line. From here you will have a great view of the river. It is a micro sized cache and hidden in a typical way. Please replace EXACTLY where you found it, so when it floods again it doesn't get washed away. Also, please bring your own pen to sign the logsheet. Enjoy!
