Description

This cache takes in nearly a full 360 degrees view, marred only by a couple of nearby trees on the west side of the hill. SecretSquirrel-BJC and I were up here placing some other caches on some fantastic vantage points when we came across this spot right at the apex of the hill. The climb up here is not easy, but is not overly difficult either and can certainly be completed in less than half a day.

There is plenty of rock scrambling and 2 great Squirrel GC caches (King of the Castle and Dirty Rascal) nearby to make the trip up here really worthwhile. This is my first GCA cache.

There is a pencil and sharpener - but bring a biro just in case!

After finding King of the Castle, this was a relatively easy rock hop to GZ. Stunning views south and we stopped to take some photos before signing the log book. An easy find at GZ. Thanks Captain Tomato

GCA 1009 - 9864. Found with SDL as we collected the three caches up on this peak.

Awesome views after the slog to get up here. A bit of a breather between King of the Castle and Dirty Rascal - very nice to have this one up here !

TFTC !!

Found with fitzy on a day out in the mountains....

Headed up for the nearby GC caches and grabbed this one along the way. Once along the ridge line from King of the Castle we soon arrived in the general area and started the search. Didn't take too long and the cache was in hand. Sat and chilled for a bit before heading off for the nearby Rascal..... Cache is all good and looking fine after being up there so long.

Thanks CT....good to cross another GCA off the list.

This was a great collection of caches up here - a real rock wonderland and well worth the scramble up the scree to get here. We see now why this was a GCA placement, and a worthy exception. Views forever on a brilliant clear sunny day, out with Zsazsa7 and McPhan. Thanks CT.

282. After being a dirty rascal we headed up here. Mr Winglen led the way and had the cache in hand as we were trying to catch up to him. Another great spot in Namadgi for a cache and a stroll.

TFTC and the vertical hold.

Just getting around today to retro-log this cache with a VIEW looking down towards the opening to the Orroral Valley. I found this cache as it was being hidden on 9 Oct!! We both agreed that a cache just had to be put here. Thanks CT for showcasing the view, and it is a great rocky location too.

Coooeeee, Yes, a *FTF* with TankEngine, another top spot up there. Yep, my set of suspicious rocks was not suspicious enough. Top set of 3 caches up there, Thanks CT (& SS)

Came up here with MTBO after the first 10-10-10 event today! These 3 caches are great! Only 600m from the start, but it certainly felt like that the altitude gained was more than that! Looking down upon the road from the top, and the drop certainly seemed more than the distance. (I know, it wasn’t, but it sure looked a long way down). Whilst seeking this one, MTBO found some suspicious looking rocks, but I found some more suspicious looking ones Very Happy. Second *FTF* for the day. Thanks heaps Captain Tomato.
