Description
'The Barbs' is an interesting looking mountain area on the banks of the Pindari Dam. At the time of placing this cache, the dam was 100% full. This is a great place to go fishing, boating, kayaking, and if there wasn't blue green algae everywehre maybe other watersports also. There is a free campground, picnic area, playground and toilets near the dam wall. There are other spots like this one here that you could camp at, but you wouldn't want to bring a caravan (unless it packs down very low) or large RV down here, as there are a number of lower branches along the track to this picture perfect location. I got my 4WD with kayak on the roof down there just fine and had a lovely little Sunday picnic here with the place all to myself. Track from Pindari Dam Road can be found at S29 24.594 E151 16.493 .

Cache is about 6m from where this photo was taken and is well above knee height. I don't like saying things like "chest height" as you might be a lot shorter or taller than me.
