Description

A quiet little bushland reserve on the way to Tarra-Bulga Park.

This cache has been placed in a small rectangle of crown land, rarely used by anyone other than a few local bike riders. Visitors to this area are likely to drive right past this reserve on their way through to the magical Tarra Valley. There's also a GC cache hidden nearby at the Devon North Serviceman's Memorial. And make sure that you continue the journey through to Tarra Valley, where you'll find a few more GC caches.

This cache is a small (200ml) camoflaged Sistema container.

While on our way to Orbost we stopped to look for this cache. It had not been found for over 18 months. After a short walk on a bush track we bush bashed to GZ where the cache container was quickly located well embedded in the dirt and sawdust. After extracting the container and signing the log we cleaned the hinges so that the container closed securely. It was then replaced as found. Even though it was a very hot afternoon we enjoyed our walk. Thanks for the cache PWAGS we hope this cache will be visited more frequently in the future.

Found on our "Making Memories" Tour of Mainland Australia.

Today we explored Yarram and surrounds using geocaching as our guide.

We found 6 caches and this was one of them. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Not a hard cache to find a little thick with scrub toward gz would make me want to avoid this one at night. Cache was out in the open placed in likely spot. Left school holiday swaps.

We had a look for this once before but forgot to log the DNF. Decided we had some time to stop off today and take another look. Thought we went in from the wrong side last time so we tackled from another angle. Had to battle our way through, over and around a tangle of recently fallen trees, looked down at one point to see blood pouring down my arm. Uh-oh, that's not good!! Had the iphone and the garmin on the go, and finally tracked down GZ only to realise that we'd pretty much walked straight past it on our previous visit!! Signed the log, took the piggy torch which after so long wasn't working properly, and left behind some glow sticks. Hope they're not out of date by the time the next person finds it!! We're only the 3rd to find, in 2 and a half years! Smile TFTC pwags.

I was actually traveling from Tarra to find this one. After grabbing a couple of your caches earlier I called in here for a dash through the bush for the find. I had to dash back to the car before the mozzies took so much blood I'd pass out. Man they were fierce. Nice hide that I was lucky to get quickly. Did I mention the Mozzies?
TNLN except blood. Thanks (I think) for the hunt.

Nice bit of bush here - shame about the mozzies though... GPS had a bit of trouble, sent me through all the wombat trails before coming across what was eventually an easy find. At least I have cleared all the spider webs for the next person! TFTC.
