Description
Newnham Reserve is an area of parkland with a sealed walking track. It is used by local residents to walk their dogs and as a short cut from A to B. During school times it is used by students walking to and from the local high school. I regularly use it, as a short cut, to walk to visit an elderly friend. There are two areas with some play equipment but no toilets. The cache is hidden near the Tallentire Road entrance to the reserve. GZ will be prone to muggles during school arrival and leaving times.

Logs
"Contents in good condition" one of the latest logs reads, so we'll remove the needs maintenance flag.
#GA5706 - 13:55; On a flying visit to Tassie on family business and took the chance to collect some of the local caches while I was passing through. Didn't realise this cache was on GCA until I downloaded the file from the GPSr! A nice quick find and sign once I reached GZ, followed by a quick drive through my old high school, although it was way down the hill from here when I went TFTC icybeetas

Caching in the area, and we found your cache along the way. Quick find, cache, and contents in good condition. Thanks, icybeetas.

After finding a few caches on the other side of the city we made our way to the Newnham Reserve and made a start on this little series. Good coordinates took us straight to the hide and after a little digging we found the container where the hint said it should be. Unfortunately water has got into the container and the log shet is very wet and fragile. We had to be extremely careful not to tear the paper as we added our team name to the log.
Thanks for this cache Icybeetas. The log needs replacing. We got out of the area just before the school buses started to arrive.

Hi icybeetas
Left home in Taranna yesterday for birthday celebrations of/with friends from Huonville
We enjoyed accommodation at the Silo (Thursday), Launceston Country Club (Friday) and Swansea Motel (Saturday & Sunday)
Returned home Monday, the round trip - travelled 626 km
Caches were found on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Your caches in this park were found on Friday morning
This one was logged at 0800 hours
An enjoyable find with school kids walking by; none noticing what I was up to
Thanks for the cache and the series
Cheers OldSaint

This series of caches were on yesterday's list but catching up with friends and relatives at Beauty Point meant we talked too much and stayed too long and didn't get here until lunch time today.
This was the first in the series tackled and Mr Beetle quickly found this one. He then returned to the campervan while I headed off to get the rest in the series.
It's great to see a nice number of GCA caches all published together. And this is a park we never knew existed until we were collecting caches for this trip.
Thanks ICYBEETAS.
