Description
Let's find some tanks! The army type that is....
tank: any heavily armed and armoured combat vehicle that moves on two endless metal chains called tracks.
There are numerous static displays of former fighting vehicles around this country, in parks or on roadsides - to log this locationless cache, you need to log the coordinates of your tank, and include a photo of the tank, with you or your GPS in the foreground.
One find per tank, log as many as you wish....
Since photography is generally prohibited on or over active military bases, stick to static displays - or where you are expressly allowed to photograph and log coordinates...
Logs
Leopard Tank next door to Prince of Wales Hotel seymour Vic.
A Centurian Tank on display at the Temora Air Museum open day "warbirds down under".
Leopard Main Battle tank in the remembrance garden at Two Wells South Australia.
On one of our geocaching/caravanning travels we stopped at Barmedman, NSW to visit an Anzac memorial. We took other photos of memorabilia including this tank.

Armidale NSW
I needed a tank for Cacheopoly and I knew where one was... it wasn't far from where my grandparents used to live so I've been familiar with it since forever. What I wasn't sure of was if the Hunter River Lancers was in the category of 'active military bases', so I googled the site. Since there were fairly comprehenisve details about the historic site and coordinates I figured it was okay. My pic is of a decommissioned tank on display in the parade ground at the front of the base. The better photo is of the tank only but the slightly blurry version with me in it is the one that meets the rules of the cache. The Armidale base is heritage listed.

A Leopard Main Battle tank in the park behind (Southern Side) behind the business area of the town of Rutherglen. It is adjacent to an extensive memorial area which is well maintained and cared for.
Spotted this tank at the RSL South Arm, Tasmania. TFTL

Here I am with a Russian tank inside an area of Europe considered by most, under military occupation by Russia. A lot people will tell you that it's part of Moldova but try telling that to the Russian military guards at the checkpoints that control the incoming and outgoing traffic in the region. The common English name for the area is Transnistria. I was staying in Chișinău and I convinced a Russian taxi driver to help get me into the region for a full day. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's not. Bribing the guard made it easy haha. He made it crystal clear I was to be out of the region by midnight though.
The writing on the tank says 'For the Motherland'. Beyond the tank is a statue of Vladimir Lenin (left) and a Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) Government building (basically, a KGB building). In April 2022 this area was attacked, apparently in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this interesting part of the world and I hope to one day explore more of it. Thanks for the cache.
Cheers

A decommissioned Leopard Tank behind the Esperance RSL rooms.
This bad bay sits outside the Geelong RSL in VIC.
Drove past today and took a quick snap.
Apparently it is an M113 APC.

I have quite a few photos of tanks but none with me or my GPS in them but I knew where this tank was so a quick 50 km each way trip to get the appropriate photo with GPS. This Leopard Tank is on display at a park in Beaconsfield. There are other War Memorials in the park and this is near the location where the local Anzac Day service was held.
