Description
Scottsdale, formerly known as Ellesmere, is around 63 kilometres north-east of Launceston and 22 km south-east of the coastal town of Bridport. It is part of the Dorset Council. The area was first surveyed in 1855 and was described as, "the best soil on the island ... well watered, with a mild climate" by the surveyor James Reid Scott, for whom the town is named. This remains true today as the town, as well as being the regional centre for other north-east towns, is a major agricultural centre. The first land was selected in 1859 and the hamlet of Ellesmere grew up. Ellesmere Post Office opened on 29 November 1865, and was renamed Scottsdale in 1893.

Logs
This one was a bit damp inside but the log was quite signable [is there such a word??]. There was no plastic bag so that may have been the problem.
Thought we were cheating doing this on our e-bikes but two motorbikes came hurtling past while we were here so I guess we're not cheating at all!!
Thanks.

Today Mr T and Mr W (whitewebbs) tackled this trail and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. Loading up the trailer with their pushbikes, Mrs T & Mrs W dropped them off at #56 and collected them 5 hours later in Scottsdale.
Many thanks icybeetas, for placing this cache, the information and research on each cache page was interesting. We appreciate the time and effort gone into creating this trail.

Mr T from Tassie Trekkers and Mr W decided to tackle this well set up series of caches on the NETRTrail. It was a great day to be out riding. The better halves dropped them off at 10.15 at No. 56 and collected them at No. 01 five hours later. The effort in setting this series up is appreciated as well as the information added to each cache page. The well detailed hints were appreciated. TFTC

Ventured out to the NERT today in the great company of icybeetas.
It's been over 5 months now since completing the section up Billycock Hill.
No problems with the weather today, being quite sunny.
Set off from the lowest pt in the trail on Tonganah Rd.
All caches were easily found and all in top condition.
A big thank you to icybeetas for a tremendous series of caches along an iconic railway....thoroughly enjoyed...cheers ST.

After dropping Mrs Y'stassie close to #19 Mr Y'stassie returned to look for this cache. After a short search he found it safely hidden away. A blank log and another {FTF} at 15:50.
Thanks for this cache Icybeetas. Today we appreciated that some of these hides are nearly drive bys. Container and contents were in good condition.
