Description
Western Junction is a semi-rural locality and town in the local government area of Northern Midlands and is located about 12 kilometres north-east of Longford. The 2016 census determined a population of 125 for Western Junction. The junction of the western and southern rail lines is in the locality.

Mr T from Tassie Trekkers and Mr W decided to tackle this well set up series of caches on the NETRTrail. It was a great day to be out riding. The better halves dropped them off at 10.15 at No. 56 and collected them at No. 01 five hours later. Today Mr T and Mr W (whitewebbs) tackled this trail and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. Loading up the trailer with their pushbikes, Mrs T & Mrs W dropped them off at #56 and collected them 5 hours later in Scottsdale.

After doing a dive to the south to negotiate a large gully, the trail is now heading north through beautiful rainforest.
