Description

This geocache is part of the I've Cached Everywhere Man series, based on the song noted below. Eungai Rail is in GCA Verse 8 by geono. Besides finding this cache at the given coordinates, other highlights of Eungai Rail are:
- there are many state forest trails nearby good for walking, mountain biking, 4WDing, and horse riding;
- there is a GC power trail that passes right by this cache;
- and this locality is supposedly exactly half way between Sydney and Brisbane by rail.

There is also a petrol station and general store in the village. That's about it really.

I've Cached Everywhere, Man is the largest cache series hidden in Australia. It is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack. As there are so many other great places in Australia to cache at, a few members of the Geocaching Australia community have added verses as seen below.

Well, I was humpin' my bluey on the dusty Oodnadatta road,
When along came a semi with a high and canvas-covered load.
(Spoken) "If you're goin' to Oodnadatta, mate, um, with me you can ride."
So I climbed in the cabin and I settled down inside.
He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand, I said
"Listen, mate, I've travelled ev'ry road in this here land."

Chorus:
Cos "I've cached everywhere, man,
I've cached everywhere, man.
'Cross the deserts bare, man;
I've breathed the mountain air, man.
Of travel I've had my share, man.
I've cached ev'rywhere.

Exploring the area, concentrating on finding GCA caches and trig points.

This cache was on our target list. Nice to find another cache in the ICEM series.

Quick find, cache and contents in good condition.

Many thanks for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

We knew this cache was here but in our travels we never got anywhere near it till today. We were doing a few caches in the Tamban forest, enough to work our way to it. Great viewing spot for the trains though our timing wasn't right to see one. Thanks for another cache in the ICEM series and the PT Co3 ♀︎ Σo< (No idea where you found all your symbols... this was as good as we could get.) Very Happy And the site won't even finish it....

We were staying in Coffs Harbour when the alert for this was received, so planned a small diversion for the trip home.
We've done most of the nearby power trail previously, so knew where to go.
Samuel found the cache, and then spotted an echidna on the other side of the line, him and Oliver were pretty stoked, the echidna less so, not really showing his face for photos much!
Another GA FTF for the weekend, pretty cool.... the funny thing is, we brought our 'cache box' with us on this trip, wondering if we'd hide caches here or Coopernook for the ICEM series! We did neither.... another time! TFTC!!

Eungai Rail was originally called Unkya, which means something along the lines of the sound or appearance of running waters. I couldn't hear any near this geocache though.
