Description

If you have previously found ga23297 The Big Zap ( http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga23297 ) then you know exactly what to do here.

If you haven't, here is a hint: At first, you have 25% chance. Should you be unsuccessful, this will increase to 33%. If a third attempt is needed, that will further increase to 50%. Finally, a fourth try has a 100% chance.

This is not a difficult nor too challenging cache. It's great for a lazy Sunday afternoon stroll.

On foot or by bicycle you can use a walkway from Helensburgh Road to Kereru Close: one end is opposite Wakari school (at roughly 45.51.346 170.28.738), and the other end is at roughly 45.51.310 170.28.682)
With any other form of transit you'll need to turn into Kohu Place from Wakari Road.

Not much loot, but we don't do it for the loot anyway, do we? Oh, best to bring your own pen as well.

I have walked the byways up to this spot last season and pondered why there wasn't a cache placed here. Open to the footpath and unlike the other one behind a gate, I wasn't too bothered to see if the gate was locked. No law of averages here, camo cache was exposed at first spot reached and what duff was keeping it hidden was wet and soggy. Tied to it's spot it was still intact and the tiny logbook was current with just the FTF SL; the other hunter is in Canada. No swag on hand but popped a chew toy in to keep the bagged logbook levitated from the drip line. Returned cache to the spot throwing some duff on top buttt it's quite large. Research Booster Week ORB kicking off for more points. Thankyou for publishing this trad cache Meow. Have a sticker for the P&G. Clan PhoenixI'm a Laaaaaaaady, duh!

FTF. Quite a coincidence. Just last week my son (Napoleon_Solo) asked where the pylons that run over Three Mile Hill led to. I explained and did a drive-by of the Wakari sub-station to show him. And today he got a much closer view of the set-up. TFTC. Very Happy

This cache is another one that falls in the category "stretching your legs on a casual after-work stroll".
Not too difficult, yet it is on a road that not too many people will visit lest they have a reason to. So here is your excuse to go there Smile

Please note: I forgot the bag with loot, so there literally is nothing in the cache except the logbook - not even a pen. Sowwy :$ If you're sufficiently upset about that, let me know and I'll pop your free Happy Meal toy in the mail.

Happy hunting Smile
