Description
Silo Art in Gunnedah.
Dorothea Mackellar is famous for having written one of Australia' s most iconic poems, "My Country". The beautifully painted artwork is on the privately owned 29 metre high maize mill and was completed by the talented Melbourne artist Heesco by cherry picker.
There's an excellent photography spot on the viewing platform of the walkway of Gunnedah's new bridge that links the Oxley Highway and Warrabungle Street. The silos can also be viewed from Barber Street.
To log the cache you'll need a photo of the silos with either yourself, your caching name or something that identifies you. Please remember this is a working mill and trucks will be coming in and out.
