Description
A Postcard from....
This cache is the fourth in a series of caches showcasing some of Northern NSW's cool and quirky country towns.
Welcome to The Channon. A village of 374 people (or 373 when I'm away on holiday) that derives its name from an aboriginal word for the Burrawang palm – Djaning.
Being so small, there’s not a whole lot to do out here, but none the less – we have postcards available of all the hottest attractions.
Click on the map, explore the town and be rewarded with some local information, which will help you find a mystery box located on the outskirts of town.
You’ll need to get the following information from the postcards:
A: How many people are in front of Protestors Falls?
B: Double the number of clearly visible tents at the markets.
Y: Half the distance from Dunoon to the Tavern
Z: Unleaded Fuel is always cheaper than Diesel. What are the first two digits of the price of a single litre of unleaded?
Now substitute the stuff above into this:
S 28° 39.0[A][B]' E 153° 16.[Y][ Z ]'
Use the checker if you want to confirm your answer, then rush off and find the cache!

Logs
I'd heard last year that they were planning on fixing up this pub to be similar to Eltham. They didn't. It's exactly like before the flood, complete with all the rusty sharp objects hanging on the walls as a reminder of the logging days. The lunch menu though... I found it wanting, and it wasn't because it was almost 2pm. But I still ate my sushi in the sun with a Stone & Wood.
Then it was on find this cache. The swag here certainly wasn't found wanting. What a great little treasure box! I took a Chinese never-lucky-for-me coin because I could. I replaced it with an old necklace pendant with a dragon that I used to wear once. I loved the view looking down over The Channon.
I paused at the General Store for a slab of coconut chocolate, and relaxed in my car at the park for a while not wanting to go home yet. It was a nice quiet day at The Channon and the Fall. Maybe everyone was at the 50 year Aquarius MardiGrass festival.
Thanks for the fun postcard.
