Parking Coordinates: S 28° 36.566'  E 153° 17.921'
Cache Coordinates: S 28° 36.534'  E 153° 17.906'
Watercourse: Terania Creek
Hike Distance: 100m (5 minutes return)

There was a cache here once, but it was taken in the 2022 flood. So let's try again for a take two...

This spot is one that is only known by the locals. Finding it can be tricky. You'll see a worn track from the listed parking coordinates leading down to the river. You'll hear the falls almost immediately too. It's a short stroll down and you'll be presented with a wide waterfall with multiple cascades. The Terania Creek catchment is a very sensitive ecosystem and home to some endangered wildlife - please dont wear sunscreen/shampoo your hair/use any chemicals in the river.

The cache is located up the river bank just a little bit away from the falls. Best to attack this one by following the trail along the riverbank. The cache is located at a bunch of rocks where the trail turns sharply left and heads direcly towards the water. Google Maps makes it look like you can grab it beside the road. There's a spoiler pic if the stash location if you get stuck, there's plenty of trees overhead that interfere with getting a solid GPS signal.

This cache is part of the Waterfalls of the Northern Rivers Geotour - a series of 10 caches highlighting the best waterfalls that the NSW Northern Rivers has to offer. Each cache has a clue which will help you compile the coordinates of a bonus cache.

My luck has changed. The tourists only stayed a short time at the falls and the mini bus departed. Down the track to the falls again. Found the cache as described and in very good condition. It was lovely hearing and seeing the falls. Thanks for the Tehuti Falls cache MattyRx.

I've been working just down the road from Tehuti Falls the last three days. Long days on site with a crew constructing a detour around a one lane bridge to allow repairs. I parked near the falls and headed down the track. My timing was unfortunate. A mini bus pulled up with many tourists visiting the falls. Will have to leave this cache for another day.

I was at the falls today and checked up on the cache. Gone! So I've replaced it. Same sized container, same spot. Beautiful spot to cool off on a hot day like today!

I didn't come here for the cache today. I just needed some time in nature. I was tossing up between Rocky Creek Dam and here, but figured the waterfall might be nice to swim under. I was wrong. It was too bloody cold. I managed to get myself fully submerged and took a few strokes toward the fall, but the temperature of the water stole all the joy and relaxation out of it, so I quickly got out of it.

But I came prepared to sit and ponder a while. I relaxed in the sun waiting for the blood to flow normally again, tried drawing the water falling at the section I was lazing at, and tried writing something creative. I didn't really do so well with any of those. But I did enjoy the fact that I got outside today, had a go at a few things, and didn't have to care what I looked like because there was no one else around the whole time.

I had hoped my next visit to these falls would be with a friend. I hope they won't get upset that I came without them. I knew they'd be too busy today and I desperately needed to get out into the green and blue.

Of course, knowing there was a cache here, I still ended up finding it, hence this log.

Gonorrhoea would’ve been a great name for diarrhoea medication.
