Description

The Deniliquin Water Tower is 22.8 metre-high and is located near Scott’s Park, on the corner of Russell and Whitelock Streets in Deniliquin, New South Wales.

Painted by renowned artist Cam Scale in July 2019 and completed in just 17 days.

The mural wraps around the tower and portrays two kookaburras resting on gum tree branches. The mural transitions from day into a starry night sky. At the base of the starry night is a welcoming campfire fire.

On our way to Balranald. Time for a lunch break and a cache. A very dull day.

Another trip from home to Wagga for a BusNSW meeting and a small number of caches along the way. The highlight was finally having a chance to venutre a long way off normal roads for a rarely found GC cache (in fact, only 11 finders since 2005).

Even though I'm in Deni every couple of weeks I rarely have time for anything other than a work meeting then back to my Moama office to keep the wheels turning. It was good to spend another couple of minutes for a quick stop and snap.

My thanks to tornador for this cache and for helping grow Geocaching Australia.
