Description

If a quiet beach is what you seek, come checkout Broadwater Beach. There are no facilities, shops, lifeguards - so be prepared for this, but you'll find a good stretch of sand and water that is enjoyable at any time of the year. This cache is located not far on from the path that takes you over the dune and onto the beach. The dune has certainly increased in size since my last visit - it's starting to cover some of the nearby trees - some covered almost to their tops. A boogie board can be fun to slide down the dune, onto the wet sand by the sea. Careful of rips on this beach though, there's always a few around - dont let the kids wade in too far. For those with a couple of hours up their sleeve, why not check out Dune 2.

The box is a regular sized cliplock container, with logbook, pencil and swaps.

I was invited out for a wander down at the Broadwater sand dunes today, firstly because I can't afford to drive anywhere these days and secondly I think because I've been feeling a bit lonely lately. Obviously i said yes, but my intention was go just wander a little, find a geocache or two, and maybe do some sketching. So I wandered off on my own.

First stop was a DNF to avenge. Then it was on to this cache before heading down to the water and rocks to play. I discovered a doppelganger of an old geo-buddy hiding in this cache. Back in December 2022 I picked up a unicorn from a cache, named them Cathodie Snowflake, and it joined me on a few adventures of which photos can be found in my geo-galleries. I have no clue what happened to them.

So Cathodie Snowflake the Second joined me today on an adventure to what they called Candy Mountain. Pics attached of the journey made via the beach, looking up to the top of the 'mountain', and the final desert climb.

No giant worms jumped out of the sand here today thank goodness. I've listened to the Dune book 1. Interesting story. Didn't feel inspired to do the next in the series. Last week I found a funny Dune YouTube clip. At first I thought it was a little odd, but the last bit... the word... brought back Sesame Street memories and made me lol. https://youtu.be/EHK5fBm1YWk?feature=shared . You're welcome, haha.

I've attached a few images of little treasures found today. One wasn't really treasure but was lots of little trash bits turned into a treasure of sorts.

Thanks for a fun morning Mr Rx.

Who’s the genius that decided to call it “emotional baggage” and not “griefcase”?
