Came up here for a picnic lunch today and to walk out to Cash's lookout. A beautiful day by the time we got here. This cache took a while to spot but we found it in the end. TFTC!

After a bright and early start to have an onslaught on some southern caches we left well before daylight negotiating the fog, icy conditions and the odd slow driver to make our way to sorell after grabbing some caches there we made our way down towards Port Arthur to find most of the caches in the area, the view from the Eaglehawk lookout was brilliant. Met up with Oldsaint near the golf course where he needed assistance to turn the hazards off on his Ranger. At the second last cache in the area we meet up with Goose and Stainless Steel Rat, after a catch up and discussing some caching we headed off for seven mile beach where we located all but one of the caches we had targeted in the area.
then continued onwards to Sanford to find the rest of Whitewebbs MMMM games caches and a few others that were close by. Needing to be in New Town at 5 to pick up a heater we stopped in at Rosny Hill to grab the caches there to fill in some time, all were located and solved. After loading the heater onto my ute we decided that was enough caching for the day and headed back north arriving home around 10pm.

Was a rough ride in a couple of sections on this road, arriving at the parking lot we headed over to sus this out before we used our makeshift TOTT to retrieve this one.
signed the log and grabbed the photo then put the cache back in its place. took a quick walk to the lookout while here. TFTC

First GCA of the day. I don't remember some of the large puddles on the way, but I do remember where SSR and I abandoned his Focus many years ago Laughing and walked to the end. We spent a bit of time waiting for the signal to set and eventually SSR spotted the treasure. A quick retrieval and we were soon stumbling back to the car.
Thanks OldSaint

As our onslaught on the south begins, we started early from the north and made our way south for the day. Great day for caching in Tasmania

An awesome cache. Bit of a scramble to get to GZ. However well worth it. TOTT was a very handy thing to have. TFTC Clan Cerberus

One of us was about to launch into some eagle research when the other noticed something of interest and we soon had a solution. Today was the day to test our replacement AWD.

We noticed a Road Closed Ahead sign 600m into our journey but decided it was probably there to reinforce the No Through Road sign so continued on our way. Our new addition passed with flying colours and we were soon on our way to GZ. Fortunately the ground was dry and we were able to reach the eerie without incident and soon had the cache in hand. Log signed we returned the container to its perch and headed out.

Thanks for the cache and puzzle Old Saint. It felt like Bourke Street on the track today as we encountered 1 vehicle coming down as we headed, found another in the parking spot and met 3 vehicles coming up as we headed down.

A photo of our log entry has been added to the gallery.

FTF @ 10.40 am. We enjoyed solving the clever puzzle and decided today to go in search of the eagle. OMG Mrs W had forgotten how rough this 8 km of track was. After the recent rain there were lots of large puddles. Parking 50 m from GZ we began our descent in definitely 3.5 terrain. While Mrs W stayed upright(unusual)Mr W was not so lucky and over he went. All good and luckily we spotted the well blending in eagle. Manoeuvred him down and the log was signed and photo taken. Now to safely ascend. TFTP
