Description

Find 25 Multi Caches Challenge

This is a challenge cache.

The geocache is hidden at the listed co-ordinates but you may not log it as Found until you have completed the associated challenge.

Note:  Yes, the cache is at the posted co-ords...HOWEVER you CAN NOT access the GZ from the highway.   You will need to drive to S37 31.144 E143 49.185 and park there.   You'll then have a short walk to find the cache.

Your challenge is to find a total of 25 Geocaching Australia Multi Caches.

When you believe you have met the challenge of finding 25 Geocaching Australia Multi Caches, simply click or tap on the "Challenge Checker" link on the right hand side of the geocache listing page. This will check the challenge and if you are successful you will be presented with a codeword that you will need when you place your "Found It" log. The codewords are unique to each geocacher, so they cannot be shared amongst team mates or other teams.

You can use the challenge checker on the right hand side of the cache page to check your status.

Hope you enjoy the challenge.

Checked yesterday to see if we qualified for this one and we did. So arriving in the area today we went to the given parking spot and waited for the rain to stop.
After a lengthy time we decided to go and look for a nearby cache that didn't require a walk and after finding that returned to the parking area where finally the rain stopped.
Walked to GZ and was signing the log when sensed something behind me. It was a golden retriever and the minute he made eye contact with me he started to bark. Just got the cache back in its hiding place when the owner appeared.
Lots of muggles and their dogs in this area today. Wouldn't be any good for our geopups though as they would be out through the gate at the parking coordinates and gone.
Thanks Sol De Lune.

I spent the Australia Day long weekend around Ballarat with stainless steel rat and 1toolman. We had a shortlist of around 70 caches and this was one I chose to include
Thanks Sol de lune

p.s. good to catch up briefly

The last of 25 Multi-caches found the other day on the trip up to St. Arnaud and we grabbed this one on the way back. Seems we were pipped at the post by 2y'stassies who were here yesterday (we also seemed to follow them around St. Arnaud a day or so after they were there).
This was an easy cache to find, but in the rain and the very, very wet grass, not the easiest one to get to. Regardless, I wasn't going to pass this one up, so across the fresh cut grass, in the rain, through the bogs until I got to GZ and then stared in despair. In there? Oh, not quite a s hard as I thought as there was a way in and a logical location to hide the cache.
Found it!
This is my first challenge cache to find and it was a little more exciting than I though as I have to get the pesky 25th Multi-cache to get here, a Multi-cache that happened to be owned by the same CO.
Thanks to Sol de lune for placing both the multi we found and this challenge cache.

What an exciting find - our first GCA Challenge cache!! ClappingClapping Thanks for the cache placement Sol De Lune.

When this cache was first published we ran the checker and found that we met the requirements for logging this cache. We were not sure when we would next be in the area but due to a change to our plans found our way passed this cache today so made a detour off the highway so we could access the hide area. We had to wait for a heavy rain shower to pass before heading out along the track. After dodging some very boggy sections we found ourselves close to an object mentioned in the hint. We carefully removed the cover and to our delight we found a blank log. After adding our name to the log in the First to Find spot we carefully returned everything as found.

Thanks for this special cache SOL DE LUNE. We enjoyed this challenge and look forward to finding others in the future.
