LOCATION: The listed coordinates take you to some bushland in between an industrial estate and the Albert River in a suburb called Yatala. It's just off the Pacific Motorway M1 so it's a great excuse for the traveller to stop and stretch the legs. Nearby is the famous Yatala Pies which is another reason many stop at Yatala. This area is quietest during weekends. DO NOT SEARCH FOR THIS CACHE IN NIGHT TIME HOURS. An easy to walk-in-and-out route is from a grass area at S27° 44.224' E153° 13.184'. Watch for snakes.
Inside the large ammo-can is a Geocaching Australia lanyard for anyone who wants it and a Geocaching Australia First To Find pathtag.

Logs
The rain was just starting so I was expecting spiders to be sheltering around the cache. At the last find one was smack bang in the centre of the lid. I just let the cache fall so the spider could run off, but it just sat there watching us the whole time. My mate was freaked out by the sight of it and I kind of expected then to squeal. Haha. At this one I carefully removed the camo and insisted under the cache latch before opening. That's when an even larger spider made its move. I think this one was under the cache. I just kept on with the work of opening the cache and signing the log as if nothing was there. Had my mate been in my position, I expect they would have been running out of the bush like lightning at the sight of the spider. Haha.
The only cache types I haven't found so far are night (I tried one years ago but didn't find the final), augmented reality (never come across one), and Earth Science (which is fair considering I just hid the first one of those yesterday).
I like that your puzzle cache and challenge cache in the same location are of the same theme. Now you just need to continue the theme and hide a bunch of other cache types here also. Hahaha
Thanks for the large cache, challenge, and laughs at your expense.
I didn’t know much about Yatala, except for the quality pies at the shop there. I’ve been known to stop in a few times on my way up the highway for a bite. Got a nice surprise at GZ with a nice little bit of bushland backing on to the river. An old bloke sat at a park bench reading the paper, otherwise it was empty. Didn’t take too long to make my way to the cache, where I found it in pristine condition. Left a lego kit and a Dirtbags Geocaching Pin but didn’t take anything. What a whopper too – nice to see ammo cans out in the wild, and this one was huge!
Great cache, thanks Wayn0. Didn’t have time for any more caches today, although I’ve been eyeing off a few in Daisy Hill nearby, but they might have to wait until next trip. Hopefully QLD gets a bit of rain soon, as the ground is getting very dry.
