About the location:
This cache is hidden in a small park, 2km west of Beaudesert. A nice spot for lunch, with plenty of parking for a motorhome or caravan. It’s close to the location Il-Bogan lagoon, the home of the Il-bogan Bunyip, although I’ve yet to see this creature.
The Il-bogan bunyip was first sighted in 1850, with the Mununjali clan having passed down tales of this creature for generations, describing it as a subterranean and aquatic presence across their lands.
The creature remains hidden in the lagoon's murky depths, emerging occasionally to startle onlookers. The lagoon is also associated with a story involving two dingoes and a kangaroo's transformation into the Warrajum, the rainbow serpent.
Interestingly, the Il-bogan lagoon is said to be connected to another lagoon called Bungropin, as per the Mununjali tradition. This site gained notoriety when the first sighting of the bunyip was reported in 1850 by a visitor to the Bromelton House, owned by Thomas Murray-Prior. This remarkable creature was described as having a head resembling a platypus's bill, an eel-like body, and a semi-transparent tail, potentially spanning around thirty feet in length. The lagoon had a reputation as the bunyip's home, and sightings were reported by locals.
The legend of the bunyip persisted through the years, with mentions in newspapers in 1927 and inspiring a short story titled "The Bunyip" by Rosa Campbell Praed in 1891. Even today, local stories and the Mununjali people's accounts contribute to the ongoing mystery surrounding the Il-bogan lagoon and its eerie inhabitant.
About the cache:
The cache is a small container with pencil and logbook. There's room for small swaps. Should be an easy find.

Logs
I don’t qualify for this challenge yet. I just wanted to get my name into the log book so I can log a find as soon as I do…. which I’m sure will take a while
