Description

This cache is at the Carpark for the Minnow Falls walking track,

GPS was a bit erratic at placement so take note of the hint

To get to the head of the track from Sheffield: Take Spring Road to Claude Road. A few hundred meters past Jeffries/Brown Hills Rd intersection turn left into Paradise Rd. a few hundred meters past the Beulah Rd turnoff [where the roads changes into Union Bridge Rd] turn right into Belstone Rd [Note: Were Union Bridge Road veers left, a gravel road on the right with a small upright white marker with orange tape] Over the bridge take the second turn left into Rising Rd [Small white marker with orange tape on the left] at the first fork veer to the right and follow Bottom Rd. At the next fork veer left and follow Bottom 1 road to the end. The track starts on the Right-hand side of the carpark.

Logs

21-Jan-24
This afternoon we headed out with the aim of finding GCA caches published in the last six weeks and were in the Railton and Beulah areas.

We took one wrong turn as we headed for this cache but we were able to bactrack quite easily. Once in the carpark, it took a few minutes to locate the cache. The hint was a big help as we found the cache 9m south of the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks DEZ005 for the cache. We have visited the top of Minnow Falls from a track on top of Mt Roland but have not visited the base of the falls, That will have to be for another day.

Surprisingly busy out this way with horse riders and bushwalkers.
There were 3 cars at the carpark and passed one on the way in.
I'll have to investigate the falls one day.
Once the gps settled the cache was soon found.
No other logs so a bonus ftf.
Many thanks DEZ055 for placing the cache for us all to enjoy....much appreciated...cheers ST.
