Tamar River / Kanamaluka #3
The Tamar River is actually a saline and tidal estuary.
The entire body of water is salty, and it rises and falls with the tide of the Bass Strait to the north.
It is 70 klm long and formed by the collision of the North and South Esk Rivers.
Take a walk along the board walk, stop to read the information signs and find a cache at the same time.
Often busy with muggle dog walkers, tourists and runners.
You are looking for a magnetic bison.
Cache contains logsheet only, please bring your own pen.

Missed this one last time I was out. There was no end in the bison tube and unfortunately I did not have one to put on it.
It had been a while since we had been in this area so we enjoyed our short walk along the path. We read the interpretation signs at each spot and found them very informative. This cache was found quickly but extracting it was not easy. It fell as Mrs y'stassie was manoeuvring it towards the edge. Fortunately it just dropped and didn't roll. We had just put the log back in the container when a big, friendly dog appeared and came for a pat. After a chat with the owners we were able to replace the container after they had moved off.
Thanks for this cache Tassie Trekkers. It was a lovely afternoon for a walk on the path.

Third find on our bike ride in the area today.
At least we looked like we had a legitimate reason to stop here while waiting for the many passing muggles to clear.
This one was a bit hard to extract and return.
Thanks for the cache and another FTF.
