Description
I've Cached Everywhere, Man - GCA Geocache Series |
Coolangatta 3.0
I've Cached Everywhere, Man is the largest cache series hidden in Australia. It is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack. Coolangatta is mentioned in the third verse.
Coolangatta is the southern most point of the Gold Coast. It's named after a ship that was wrecked there in 1846.
It boasts some of the nicest beaches on the coast. Snapper Rocks is popular among the surfers, and Rainbow Bay is the perfect spot for a family swim or picnic.
The cache is hidden a few blocks from the beach, near the croquet club. For a fun way to log this cache, tap the lid of the container to your NFC enabled mobile phone, and you'll be sent to the GCA cache log screen. Nifty!
