Well, I looked for about 15 minutes as I felt sure he would be there.....somewhere. But alas, with lots of tree litter, he was hiding too well for me today. Hopefully the next hunter will have more luck.
Thanks anyway....

This gnome is fond of a walk it seems. Stopped by to make a quick hide but he kept egging me on. His point was valid, there really weren't any good spots for a gnome. OK when a race is on, any hide is likely to be brief, but things slow down once the fun is over. Who knows how long a gnome might be waiting for the next lift.
Simba is hidden the wrong side of the tracks. He's inside a fallen tree and could be hard to spot if left a while. Co-ordinates hopefully should be good, I used averaging and 100 readings as the GPS was wandering a bit.

In the area today so I went for a walk to find Simba.
Had to chuckle when I went back down the logs to find where we had met before. Old Saint's log and images on the 7th of June indicate that this Gnome has had an adventure that will never be known.
I was the one to hide him prior to Old Saints find and, not surprisingly, he wasn't left standing in the open. At the time of hiding, the grass was long and there was tree debris about. He was hidden between two trees (protection from tractors slashing the verge) and covered with a piece of wood.
Looking at the images now, they not only slashed the verge but cleaned up around the trees as well! He's been found but not muggled. Some kind council worker carefully stood him up, but left him in location. Very nice!

I've been recombobulated back to 3D. I had a hankering to check out what sort of stuff some of my burlier mates were made of (I'm a featherweight by comparison). But then I had to run away from muggles. Then the kids on their BMX bikes forced me further in. Found an ideal home but it was already taken by ...eek, a cache! So I walked further than I intended & had to lie down for a spell.
Nabbed while caching in the area, will rehide again soon

Hi tigersden
Just as well we went to look for this gnomal as he was totally exposed in his well out of the way non-hide. (see photos)
He was Sainted at 1125hrs.
Simba will be re-hidden in a location more accessible to the caching fraternity and in a location not likely to be muggled.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

Simba has being having a little rest until we could be sure of his true allegiances but it's time he got out there and did his bit for the green team.
There's a slight worry about this hide. It was pouring with rain and I was comfortable that only a lunatic or a geocacher would be about. I forgot there's another brand of lunatic and just as I was leaving a brown clad dog walker appeared from a side track. My cheery wave was returned with a highly suspicious look so they obviously wondered what I was up to.
Looking in the mirror, they didn't approach the hide so hopefully it's alright. I had hidden Simba as soon as I stopped and then had fussed about averaging co-ordinates and noting them down so I probably just looked lost.

Simba Gnomal is back out and ready to travel again
A quick raid on the way to work. Didn't have to worry about any doggy walking muggles in the rain this morning! TFTC
After touring with us and escorting the car back to Tassie for repairs Simba Gnomal has enjoyed the company of Wise Old Gnome and y'schristmas gnome. It is now time for a tour of Tasmania. Happy travelling Simba Gnomal
We could not go past and leave a gnome on his own. So Simba Gnomal is now riding with us and will be placed in a new location in the next few days.
Thanks goodness!
It still there when I found it.
Grab it and will move on soon
Love the Simba Gnomal!

On a bit of a sojourn down this way this morning, I dropped in for a look for this one and its GC neighbour given that there were no parking restrictions here for another hour.
It took a few moments to find but thanks to the quite specific hint, I was finally signing the log at 06:50.
I replaced Simba where I found him for those who follow to find.
TNLNSL. Thanks tigersden.

Dropped off in a location where it should be quickly moved on.
3 Transports, one gnome and 2 frogs up for grabs here
Saw this one while attending intervening days

Well we picked him up from the event and as his owners are going to be down south we will try and leave him there. This is a proper gnome - he has dignity not like those ones with their pants down or with fishing rods.
Dropped off at geocaching event in Melton.
Seen loitering in a park in Sydney. Wants to get a lift to Melbourne and given we're heading that way we were happy to help out.
My gnomey friend is looking forward to partying. He'll be at the event.
Simba Gnomal is now in residence in this lovely well known tree.
All these Frogs and Gnomes have had it so good here in Clwydd that they have returned en masse. We can't allow that to go on so mass moving out is in order.

Back to Clwydd!
Hope you've had a nice visit in Leura . . .
Great to find my old friend Simba Gnomal hanging around this neck of the woods again . . .
And thanks, as always, to rogerw3 for his faithful gnome transportation efforts . . .

Simba Gnomal has moved a bit to meet the local Gnome expert and then resume his travels.
Don't go looking for him, he has gone already.

Simba Gnomal was right where he was supposed to be quietly waiting to be found, he is an old friend by now and it is always nice to find him and put a few more kilometres on his travels.

Had to do some cache maintenance near here today, so dropped off a few frogs at this congenial location.
Met this cache at the Spring caching in the Blues - 2012 Edition Event Cache. It was great to get to talk to other cachers and see an interesting assortment of movables. TFTC.

One of 6 moveables that came home with me after the Spring caching event. I hadn't intended to take any of them, but I saw this forlorn looking bunch on the table & no other GCA cachers left, so I let them hitch a ride with me.
Found at event! Saw the name and knew who owned this 1

Oh goodie, I was finally pulled out of that wet leafy stump. How dare rogerw3 push me down so far, I've cleaned my self up and am making an appearance at the Spring Caching in the Bluies event. My log scroll is full but it will be replaced by tronador.
Simba Gnomal has decided to find a nice restful place while waiting for his next pick up.
My old friend Simba Gnomal has come for a visit, he is now resting comfortably and will be on his way again very soon.

Haven't seen Simba Gnomal for some time now. In fact, I haven't logged any gnomes at all for a considerable stretch . . . very nostalgic.
So it was great to find Simba near the Springwood Cemetery when I descended from the upper mountains on other business . . .
A Leap Frog was even lurking nearby, and I found a GC too . . . the trifecta!

This was one of two forlorn moveables left at the Leura event when most cachers had departed. Couldn't bear to leave them there, so popped him into my car to move to a new spot.
Discovered today at the Leura International Geocaching Day Event.

After a good rest 'Simba Gnomal' decided to return the Big Smoke and entice some cacher to move him along.
it was a bit of a surprise to come across my old friend 'Simba Gnomal'. Just as well these gnomes are sturdy as it was -2 last night, but all the same he was very glad to come inside and have a rest.
Simba will no doubt be on the move again very soon.

Simba came along to help me do a maintenance run on my cache at Ballast Point. He liked the spot so much he decided to stay a while and watch the Sydney Ferries Balmain Depot. He found a nice red container to go and hide under the back of where he would be nice and dry.
Aha, Simba we meet again. Stopped on the way back from a job at Wetherill Park to do a gnome swap.
I picked up the sneezy gnomal cache about here and Simba decided it was a great spot for hime to skip out after lots of excitement up at Summer bay yesterday, so he found a quiet corner and hid under some leaves.
Zipping up to Palmie for a job, I had enough time to detour into Rookwood as I was passing to find Bang Bang and Simba. They both ahd a nice afternon up by the beach, But I finished there too late to have time to fine either of them a spot near the beach.
Simba was missing his mate Cordelia so he's taken off after her. You'll find him waiting for a ride in the cemetery. Look for James and Bartholomew.
Ohh look more gnomes, not far from where I had to be this morning. What a wonderful location. Would never have known about this wetlands if Simba hadn't shown it to me. Have had some fun with Simba before and I still reckon he reminds me of Santa Claus. One of my favourite gnomes. He's at my place, with 5 others. They are starting their own little gathering in my kitchen.
'Simba Gnomal' has now moved to his new location. He will monitor the movements in this lovely little wetland are. He is on the lookout for Eastern Long-Necked Turtles (Chelodina longicollis) and see how many he can find.
'Simba Gnomal' is on the move as usual the Leura communication Hub is a very busy place and most Gnomes stop over to get their final travel orders. He will soon be on his way to new adventures.

'Simba Gnomal' decided to hang around the GFF Gnome Holiday Resort for a few days before carrying his new duties as assigned to him by the new GGA (GLF-GFF Alliance). He is well pleased with the results of the Mt Victoria conference and will enjoy some well deserved R&R.
Don't go looking for him, the location of the Holiday Resort is Top Secret, so you won't find him at the co-ords.
