Lots of places to look but no sign of Thor.

Thor had spent long enough in my front yard so he's moved along to the WA/SA Border. He now sits perched on the edge of the escarpment looking out over the Great Australian Bight and the Eucla sand dunes.

There's a signposted picnic area/lookout 10km east of the border on the southern side of the Eyre highway. Walk 300 metres west of the picnic area along the escarpment to a gully and here Thor should be on the point, surveying the horizon.

Thor has left my garage and returned to the wild. He's hiding beneath an azalea bush but he has a good view of the road and can watch all the passers-by from cover I'm a Gnome, duh! Please move him along soon.

Went for my morning run today and thought I'd add a search as this was close by. Took 20 minutes or so once I got there but there was Thor, as described, sleeping peacefully under a log. My 1st cache find. Mr. Green He wouldn't run home so I had to carry him, lucky he's only small. Wink Maybe he didn't like being carried upside down so he created Saturday night's electrical storm over Sydney. Dancing Anyway, Thor is resting in my garage today so I'll find him a new home tonight and post coordinates

'Thor' has been relocated to this spot to investigate report of strange happenings that could be detrimental to Gnomes. He will investigate before moving on to another hot-spot.

'Thor' is very anxious to resume his work for the betterment of Gnomes everywhere and is on his way to pastures new. He hopes to meet old mates and new ones also.

He won't stay here long, though.

He has work to do for the GFF.

Where will he end up this time?

'Thor' decided to hang around the GFF Gnome Holiday Resort for a few days before carrying his new duties as assigned to him by the new GGA (GLF-GFF Alliance). He is well pleased with the results of the Mt Victoria conference and will enjoy some well deserved R&R.
Don't go looking for him, the location of the Holiday Resort is Top Secret, so you won't find him at the co-ords.

We found this gnome again while attending the Blue Mountains Gnome Event. TFTG

02-Jul-11
Went for a drive today to catch up with a few gnomes that I heard were gathering at an event in the Blue Mt's. Something about the GLF and GFF calling a truce.

Meet a few gnoming aficiandos and even eat my way through a couple of gnome cup cakes (Thanks to Just a Cacher for those) while signing (almost) all the logs.

A great way, and a great spot, to spend an hour or 2.

Thanks to all who attended, great to meet you, along with the gnomes.

02-Jul-11
Thor turned up in the Blue Mountains of NSW as one of the attendees at the historic GLF/GFF Gnome event.

I had already met him back in Sydney, some months ago.

Was very happy to sign his log book again, and farewelled him as he entered rogerw3's duffel bag at the end of the event . . . Where will he go from Mt. Victoria?

We can only wonder . . .

02-Jul-11
'Thor' was one of the delegates at the Mt Victoria meeting between the GLF and the GFF. The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was duly signed by the 50 Gnomes present and every Gnomes went on his way very happy with the result.

Thanks for the gnome

Went for a walk with Candy Cane 101 and 'Loki' the new geo dog. Generally speaking, Candy Cane 101 is more trouble, I think, unless we see another dog. Lovely day, pleasant walk. Picked up to move on.

Missed this one on my last walk up this way. Quick find this time !

Second time lucky finding Thor. He was certainly well hidden the previous attempt.

04-Jun-11
Despite the foreboding grey skies and chilling wind, Captain Tomato and I ventured out geocaching today - 20 caches - deliciously weary after some walks in absolutely beautiful locations though open forest and along lakesides and along ridges which offered spectacular views - and all just around Canberra. I have to admit my windproof beanie was pulled down, and my wind jacket collar was up my neck

Thanks for this cache found on our travels...much easier to find today.

LEFT THERE - DID NOT MOVE
location hint in Giggly Gecko's last log/note really helped this time

14-May-11
Found along with 4 other gnomes on the gnome power trail up the hill. Like the idea of a gnome power trail, and like the views, so left him there.

227. This find marks my 100th consecutive day caching, and after doing 60km walking over the weekend I was certainly thankful that this one had been left in an easily accessible spot. Of course the looks I got from the "serious"walkers as I headed into the trees in my skins and sandals was priceless.

2 Canberra gnomes kidnapped by the GGG (GNOME-MARE!!! & Mr Bump), with the aide of of a forward observer stationed at Oberon (Heave-Ho) formed the Gnome Liberation Front, and convinced a cadre of gnomes currently resident in the Blue Mountains environment, that their services were required in the ACT.

This led to a call being placed by the GLF for a mass extraction of the gnomes and various pickup points were organized by Mr Roo, Just a Cacher & I. The gnomes had a long march from their various Lithgow detention points and a few gnomes were left in the region to gather intelligence in case of a need for future pickups.

Look for these gnomes to start appearing in Federal relief agencies as experts on the Flood recovery and CRPS programs.

05-Mar-11
Black Bunny, Mr_Roo and I went on a road trip to rescue some poor, imprisoned gnomes from Lithgow. To make the trip a bit more consistently busy, we found a few other caches on the way (and on the way home, too!).
We have more gnomes than everything else put together now, and Black Bunny's shopping basket just disappeared under the mass of partying gnomes - and they're NOISY!

05-Mar-11
Made a quick find with Blackbunny and Just a cacher on a gnome invasion of Lithgow. Blackbunny was quick out of the car and beat us to it. TFTC

Another great event today. On a stinking hot day in homebush oveer 40 gnomes showed up and looked to be having a great time especially this little guy. Oh yeah there where some fun people there aswell.

Looks like a couple of gnomes may have followed us home and there locations will be updated soon.

Thankyou to the organisers and who ever gave this little guy a lift. Looking forward to the next event.

Great fun! I'm a Gnome, duh!I'm a Laaaaaaaady, duh!

I met Thor today at the party. I'm sure I've met him before with blossom* but I managed to sign his log today Very Happy

05-Feb-11
Attending the post race gnome party at Homebush this was one of MANY new to us gnomes we found on the table. We actually looked for this gnome one night but it was too dark, and too many muggles so I didn't worry about a dnf - it was more a chickened out. tftg

05-Feb-11
Thor is no longer at 'The Gegnome Project - Post gnome get together!' event, he is now with me, who could refuse to take him away for a few days rest and recreation before returning to his wild adventures.

05-Feb-11
Found among the 41 other Gnomes at 'The GeGnome Project - Post Gnome Get Together!' A great time was had by all, even the Gnomes and they spent their time having logs and other things pushed up their nether regions at least for most of them. A great way to see Gnomes that I would not have been able to get to otherwise.

05-Feb-11
I encountered Thor the Gnome once again at the The Gegnome Project-Post Gnome Get Together at Homebush Bay!

Here he was one of an amazing variety of 42 gnomes in attendance on the day, at Wentworth Commons -- and a few gnome-mad geocachers attended as well . . . The scorching 41 degree temperatures didn't dent our enthusiasm.

Congratulations to all those battle-hardened gnomes who survived the rigours of the recent competition and our condolences to the owners of those who suffered injuries and/damage or who were finally declared 'missing in action' . . .

This gnome can now take a very well-deserved break, doing whatever it is that gnomes do when they take well-deserved break . .

05-Feb-11
I kept missing him during the race as he didn't want to hang around one spot long enough. Now the rush is over he was happy to hang out with the others at the event and finally let me get to the logbook.

05-Feb-11
Well what a party that was! There were way more gnomes (42!!!) than cachers (maybe 10 teams, about 20 people) and things almost got out of hand Surprised Luckily some of the gnomes who attended were able to keep a bit of control - Bruce the Gninja, GeoPirate, Gno-mad, Gnome-Mare and Geolady were big enough and tough enough to exert some authority.

We held a ballot to see who would go home in which car and Thor agreed to take rogerw3 back to Lithgow on the train. You can never be sure these foreign gentlemen know how to find their way bobut in a strange land LaughingLaughing .

03-Feb-11
I was determined to chase down some missing gnomes today and luckily for my sanity, Thor was keen to get out of the scratchy grass and into a nice comforatble house for a few nights. I promised to let him stay until the post-race party on Saturday

30-Jan-11
No luck yesterday looking for this, as some other local ones had gone I just figured I must have missed it. But not logged yet so maybe not. Flushed a rabbit hiding under one of the rocks but no luck with the gnome.

When Thor saw this spot recently vacated by the Old GeGnome he really wanted it. He said it was ideal of his training, since there is nothing he loves so much as whacking poor defenceless ball with a long handled heavy metal object, in this case his beloved Mjollnir. So I left him there to enjoy himself.

26-Jan-11
My old mate Thor wanted a bit more action so he gratefully accepted my offer of a bag ride. We are off to Rookwood for another Gnome. Thor did make fun of Lizzie the honorary Gnome, so much so that she got upset and demanded to be let off at the first opportunity.

Thor had a wonderful night indoors with Gnanome and Gno-mad. He was very well behaved and scuttled across the road when i opened the front door.
He's now waiting under a bush behind the lamp post. He is not very big.

21-Jan-11
Thor had been languishing in the most brilliant hidey hole I've seen in a long time. I may have to use this hide again.
He is so tiny compared to the other gnomes who have resided with me.
He will spend the night resting up after his ordeal in the you know what.
You never know where Thor may end up. Very Happy

Thor is now having some time out and taken to the trees(or tree anyway) A nice quite little park, that part thereof contains his name, as does the street of the side of the park he's in.

There's a gate on the bend between the roundabouts, head straight through there to the grass and look for a large, lonely tree. Make sure you walk quickly as this appears to be the ant capital of Sydney...and they BITE!

My co-ords can be 7-10m out at times but i think he'll be easily found.

19-Jan-11
after enjoying dinner and a dessert he just couldn't get enough of, this fellas been up to a bit of mischeif on the railways this evening! too much sugar?? Laughing Maybe!...although, he has settled down now after a short rainshower. Will hit the road tomorrow I'm a Gnome, duh!

18-Jan-11
wasn't actually expecting him to still be there! but (+1) found him just inside the end of a log, staring at the overcast sky. He said he'd had a nice little sleep in and was deciding if he should stir things up a little today. Time will tell....

Thor was another gnome I gnever had the chance to meet around Sydney -- until he turned up on Parramatta Road at the 'Zalgariath's Off to Europe' geocaching getogether. Lots of people wanted to sign his log book and I was one of them. He really seemed to enjoy the attention on the night and was pleased to have so many 'groupies' gathered around him.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what happened to him after about 7:30pm. I think he must have finally find a ride with one of his many admirers.

I took Bill the Booze-Hound for a drive to meet Thor and Gnanome this morning. We hopped out of the car and walked down through the park but as soon as they saw him, they ran off back to my car, jumped in and locked the doors!! I promised to keep them safe and left Bill behind to party a bit on his own Very Happy

Otherwise you will probably see my father pottering around the garden by day, and out Christmas Lights by night. Enjoy!

As Thor was not living up to his thunderous name and was being quite the gent I thought I'd take him to a place of tranquility nearby where he could enjoy the serenity. The Lilian Fraser Garden (home of our currently disabled GC cache Thanks Lilian) was enjoyed by Thor and as he liked it so much I left him there. A lovely spot with no one around. However if the gardeners get there soon they will notice that they have one gnome too many. I'm a Gnome, duh!
