A memorial for the HMAS Sydney II.
The memorial gives the names of the 645 men who lost their lives during the sinking of Australia's most celebrated warship, HMAS Sydney II during WWII.
The Shark Bay World Heritage Discovery & Visitor Centre offers the free 3D (15 minute) film, Fire in the Water, every half hour. It shows the fate of the Australian warship HMAS Sydney II and the German raider Kormoran, tracing the events of their World War II battle off Shark Bay.
