Description
There is no geocache here, but you are still required to sign a log book of sorts to complete this virtual.
Welcome to the Beer Can House and it's beautiful views. It's the last stop on the 'Green Car Door Explorer Tour' at Lightning Ridge. The best time of day to come here is just on sunset. The 'Green Car Door Explorer Tour' says of this place:
"You have reached...Nettleton's First Shaft Lookout. Read the monument on the left and go further to walk the Stone Labyrinth that was made by 4 people in 6 hours. If stones are out of place, please re-align them in this spiritual place. Before it gets too dark [check out] the Beer Can House. You are welcome to pop in and sign the guest book in the fridge. Now go back [out], take a seat, and watch the setting sun towards the Coocoran Opal Fields that were booming in the 1990s."
To log a find on this virtual, wander inside the Beer Can House, find the fridge, sign the guest book, and take a photo of the guest book. If you do not want your real name seen in images here, you may take a photo of the guest book open with your caching name visible in or on it, or with your GPS on it (open or closed), with something that represents yourself or your team on it, or with yourself in the image. It's all about proving you were there... and enjoying the sights in this location. Add as many photos as you like of the house, or area, or sunset. I've added a couple of my own to get things rolling.
Enjoy the area :)
...and don't forget sunset colours become more vibrant and change after the sun goes down, so don't race off and miss the whole show.
