Description

Welcome to the 11th GCA cache by “Keeper of Time”. One of 3 gnomes entered into Cachinggames GeGnome Project.

Stealth gnome seemed like a good idea when we first started painting him. Now we realise that his stealth paint will make him hard to spot.

Oh well, if you do manage to find him please move him on as soon as possible.

Thanks.

With this gnome in so many bits he can not be repaired. He had fun during the race.

Decided to take a long walk this morning, ending at Stealth Gnome's hiding place. Unfortunately, he's not exactly in good condition. The repair job has come completely apart, probably due to him being drowned in one of our recent floods. When we found him, he was in quite a few pieced.

Anyway, we have gathered the pieces, but they are very icky, and I'm not sure it they are all there. Stealth Gnome may in fact be terminal. I'll pm the owners for advice. The log is wet, but should be ok after it dries out.

07:55 Holy Gnome!!! (literally!!) Good patch up job though! We found Stealthy this morning in a good spot by a nice lake. we tried last night but were driven out by mosquito's, lack of daylight and...we'll be honest....hunger! Driven by the need to find our first movable however we were up early and back to the scene.

hehehe feels naughty to be making away with a cache instead of being careful to place it exactly back, and also feels wrong to be able to yell 'we found it' instead of also getting our quiet on!

We decided that rather than going for distance traveled and put it far away, we'd go for another notch/find and place it straight away this morning..... and we have liftoff! You'll find him at S37 46.675 E145 08.665

Oh .... please don't report us to the Authorities!! ShockedWink

We promise we have been kind to him ever since!

He had 2 lots of surgery, an antiseptic wash and lots of bed rest!

He should be well enough to go out tomorrow ... albeit with evidence of the injury ShockedShockedShocked

Sounds like a bad case of gnome abuse
LOL Might be time to call Gnome server’s
Shame on you

Ummmmm..... I dont think Stealth Gnome wanted to come back to Melbourne with us coz he literally jumped out of the car when we opened the boot half way home and he landed on his head...gulp.

He has had 1 lot of surgery (gluing) and now needs to rest overnight before having his wounds covered with antiseptic (re-spray-painting)

Photos soon

(PS Very sorry Keeper of Time, the bag he was in he dropped out of the back of the station wagon when we opened the door. He is nearly fixed minus part of the back of his head which was absolutely shattered. Once he is re spray painted hopefully this wont be tooooo obvious)

He will be moved on again once the glue and spray paint are all dry

Brought this gnome back to Lakes Entrance for a visit, but the huge crowds in town made him hide his head in fear....
So we brought him home and settled him into the front garden.

Well Mr Stealth Gnome behaved himself on the drive down to Cape Patterson and didnt get a chance to say much as Gra chatted all the way down lol
So he is hidden down at Cape Patterson awaiting all the cachers that will be attending the GC Event there tomorrow.

He's very close to where the event is being held. BUT..... he's down the bottom so don't go looking up the top and fall over the edge!!!!!

PS BiG has logged this Gnome as found accidently - the Gnome he found is Commando who hidden at the same park that we found Stealth Gnome at about 100m away!! BiG will delete his log then Stealth Gnome's logs will be in order lol

Cheers - GJMMelb

We didnt get a chance to re-hide this little fellow on NYE after all so he is going on a long trip today. Hope he is well behaved as "Gra" will be in the car too. She is GMelb's Sister-In-Law's Grandmother who is also coming along for the ride lol. He will hopefully meet up with several other cachers tomorrow!!

This Gnome was our "closest" at nearly 15kms away but we wanted to have at least 1 Gnome to have for tomorrow when we have friends around for New Years Eve..... although if it's still 38 degrees when they're here we wont be going out to rehide him after all!! Sad
He was well hidden but we Gnabbed him all the same!

The problem with Stealth Gnome was that he was too good at his job, no sooner had Christmas finished and he blended into the background and with uncanny stealth skills he stayed absolutely quiet and still for a couple of days, not even the atrocious performance of the Australian Cricket team could move him.....but I'm sure that late at night I heard some brief gnome crying and a call for Warney to come out of retirement.
Today was the day to get him back out for another finder so Facitman quickly slipped him into a nice hiding spot with a great view.

24-Dec-10
Not sure that Stealth Gnome was happy to be at the Facit-Family Christmas initially, but soon he found a way to blend in....

Found by Facitman of Christmas Eve at 23:35
As Bob Hawke said.... No Gnome will live in poverty by 1990...
So I decided to spread some Christmas cheer by fetching a couple of Gnomes to spend the next 24 hours with the Facit family. First grab was this well camouflaged friend who eluded my searching for a couple of minutes but was finally coaxed out of hiding.
Probably won't be re hidden until Boxing day evening, after the cricket!

He is now lurking in the bushes in a nice little park with 2 mates. He's at the top of a mound, between 2 trees under some geraniums and other foliage.

I received word from the underground that there was some very suspicious activities going on in this area.
So I contacted base and was given the ok to scout around a little and see what I could find out.
I hope it doesn't take me too long to find out what I need to satisfy my boss as it is very spooky out here.

02-Dec-10
Dam, missed it by that much after a day in Bendigo!!

02-Dec-10
Checking the map this morning we saw that there was a Gnome nearby, hiding.
So GeoH on the way to work this morning stopped by and picked up the little hitch hiker hiding in the grass.
We will keep him nice and dry for the night before moving him along.

Found by Roma and Max.
On a dual geo mission today we found your well camo'ed little traveller.
It is now located in a geo friendly spot, below a large white Number 3, can be easily reached from the street side and is just waiting for another Geo Gnome mover to chance by.
Good luck Stealth on your travels.
Romax.
