Description

This cache is PrincessDiala's 2/6 entry into the 2010-11 GeGnome Project.

This cache has been created to qualify for the caching game:

GeGnome Project.

The idea of this game is to hide a genuine, bone fide garden gnome on Geocaching Australia to see how far your cache can move within the game period (01-Dec-2010 00:00:00 AEST to 31-Jan-2011 23:59:59 AEST).

All you need to do is:

1) Find my cache and pick it up

2) Move it on, making sure you update the co-ordinates in your online log within 2 days!

3) Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (please no mailing for someone else to hide)

Note 1: You may find this gnome multiple times, however there must be at least two other finds/moves in between

Note 2: If this gnome gets taken overseas, and it remains unfound for 1 week or more, the cache mover may move it back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.

More information can be found at: www.cachinggames.com/gegnomeproject/index.php

Please keep me moving near sandy areas. I would like to travel in a lot of stops viewing great gardens to live in!

spent a while looking for flower power but just could not be found. i really fear for this one. being so close to water it would only take a little rise in water and this could be toast. i really really dont think its here. i hope i can get proven wrong

Have grave concerns for this fellow. 3 adults searched for a long time in the scrub around GZ but to no avail. There is evidence of the flood waters in the mid February rain being a whole lot higher than the place this little guy was in so I hope he is okay and we just couldn't spot him! If the previous hider is down this way again could you please pop in and check where you left him?
Thanks

Took this little guy on a road trip to Hastings and had a play on the nearby park on the way to another cache. Flower power liked the area so much, decided to stay for a while and have a nap. Enjoy! Laughing

Found this guy in the rain looking a little worse for wear! His new paint job seems to have half washed away so was interesting to transport in the car! Will move him along shortly.

We had hoped to hide this further from its last destination, but the geomobile broke down, so geoson and I went for a walk to some nice locations not far from our gz.

We found one of our first caches (now archived) near here. It a nice place to go for a walk.

Good luck Flow Power

The C&C gang dropped by here for our third genome find of the day. Quick find near where I used to play sport some years (err decades) back.

First time we have had 3 gnomes together. They had a nice chat in our garden (see picture)

Thanks PrincessDiala - Well move it on soon.

Found by Facitman and the Facit-Family with M.S.N. & blufox at 14:55
So there we were hurtling down the road at 100Km or there abouts while the GPSr counted down the distance to 4 gnomes...... I had ensured that we had no cars within a fair distance behind us and was happy I'd taken that precaution as I had to hit the anchors pretty hard when I saw the turn off! Anyway, s-facit, blufox and I travelled the short distance down the dirt road before I simply stopped dead and jumped out of the car. Four smiling faces looked up at me from the middle of a stump and after carefully stacking them in my arms I was back to the car and we were away. It was certainly quite bizarre to be stopping in the middle of nowhere and finding four gnomes in one place
Thanks PrincessDiala, I'll hide again shortly

Flower Power had a nice day with Captain Whitebeard but now it was time to part company! Flower Power had also met Better Late than Gnever Gnome, and he requested they be hidden nearby each other to keep each other company when no humans are around until they are found....
So off to a new park where searchers will get 2 GNOMES FOR THE PRICE OF 1 as they are hidden within about 50 metres of each other!
Happy Travels Flower Power

This little guy wanted to hide somewhere with a little more traffic so he jumped out of my bag and disappeared under a boulder beside a busy path.
Lucky for the next cacher he is a moveable cache so you can grab him and run when you find him. Smile

Good luck little Gnome. I'm a Gnome, duh!

Brendan looked as cool as a man can while handing over a box full of Gnomes to a stranger. CoolI'm a Gnome, duh!I'm a Gnome, duh!I'm a Gnome, duh!

That's one well dressed Gnome (again, the little plaster guy. Not Brendan Laughing ).

Now off for a quick hide.

The Flowery one joined his friends with me at work today.

He got himself analysed, like the others
flowerpowersm.jpg

Then he and his friends hung around the computers waiting for the results...

20101209imag0033.jpg

The results weren't suprising...his DNA is mainly plaster...

Anyway he and his companions are ready to go on some more adventures. The Coordinates above will take you to the front door of the AgriBioSciences Centre, which is in the Latrobe Uni R&D Park. Reception is open from 9 to 5 although pickup will not be available until probably 11:00 tomorrow (Friday 10th). Michelle and Brendan behind the desk are worded up. Ask for the package for the GCA Genome project. If there's someone else behind the desk, you may need to ask them to call "Andrew from Computational Biology".

Don't let them lie around too long..they may get experimented upon in vile and hideous ways..you know what these scientists are like.
