Description
The Gnostic Gnomad Haiku
A quest for knowledge
A thirst for enlightenment
Fulfillment is ours
I am on a quest, but my stiff legs are weak.
Please keep me moving, share photos as you seek.
If I am damaged do not despair, I like liquid nails from toe to hair.
But if broken in small useless rocks, take me home in a satin-lined box.
A moveable cache competitor in the GeGnome Project from 1 December 2010 to 31 January 2011.

Recovered this one and now moving it out of Canberra for some country viewing and finders !
Down and ready to be found again.
Down and ready to be found again.
I found this Gnome among a bunch of other moveables today. In great condition - the CO can activate it again ! I will get it out into the wild again this weekend. Nice to see such an old one still going.

I am sorry to say I no longer have this cache. It was most likely passed to another cacher at an event.
I hope it turns up.

Woot! Prisoner exchange was a success. I've got this guy and I'll move on shortly
This little Gnome has found his way north for a tour of the nation's capital and is on the move again already!
#GA1006 - 18:15; I was on a caching run around Melbourne collecting a few GCA caches in this area. After a DNF on a nearby Gnome, I had managed to find the next one, which provided the incentive to continue on to try for this one. Once at GZ, another quick pick for the trip to Canberra. About time I dropped off these gnomes I've been carrying around. Good luck with your travels.
Found today while out caching to celebrate the anniversary of caching on Australia. I thought I'd seen this guy before but I didn't realise just how long ago it was.
It's great to see an old timer still out and about.
Thanks duncdonut73 for the gnome. I'll try to find somewhere to put him where he'll draw more attention.

Dropped off at a well known peppercorn and already heading further south.
Well he didn't fit into the backpack for Melbourne so he was into a clothes basket for Echuca instead
This gnome has been sitting idle for far too long.
Finally had a chance to move him today. He's now hiding in a well known peppercorn tree in Bendigo.

Moved to a new home out the front of one of the regions best tourist attractions, and only a few metres from a GC cache.
Picked up and now in my office in Echuca.
A cacher from down south dropped into my office a couple of weeks ago and left a bag of GCA moveable caches tucked in the corner. It wasn't until I today that I remembered the bag and decided I should do something about it.
A new home will be found in the next couple of days.
Thanks, Duncdonut73, for this moveable cache.

A quick drop off on this windy and cold Saturday afternoon. Fare well traveler.
Spotted at the Pathtags, Geocoins, Moveable Caches, Travelbugs Swap Meet event (GA7283).
I was happy to add some GCA caches to the table and also left with a couple to move along.
Thanks for creating this cache so we can all play this great game.

Found this cache at the trackable moveable swap meet this afternoon in the absolute freezing weather. Thanks to Day1976 for making sure these caches were all safe over the last year and for bringing them along to day to continue their travels.

Wow, fantastic. I'm so glad that this little fellow was still in place after all this time.
Out and about this afternoon and Gnostic decided to jump out here to watch some tennis. Happy trails little gnome.
Picked up this afternoon on the way home from picking up kids from a party at the local shopping center. Dropped a frog off in the same spot. TFTG. I'll try not to hang onto him for too long.
Dropped off in Wandinong Sactuary along with two other GCA trackables and a travelbug in the cache hidden here.
I forgot to pick this GeGnome (and two Leapfrogs) up when I passed here this afternoon, so I decided to make a return visit while the weather was still reasonable. No problem locating any of them, I'll move them along soon
The kids and I popped in here to pick up a couple of movable caches. This is one we grabbed. We will move on shortly.

My Thursday morning walk partner needed to change to Tuesday for our walk around here and only had time for 2 laps instead of 4 and then some searching time for all the frogs here. Unfortunately I didnt have the GPS with me, only my smart phone that wasnt being very smart so we could only find one frog before a Mothers Group turned up in the car-park and went about changing nappies. We stood around chatting for 10 mins then my friend had to go and I waited another few minutes but they were still there not in any hurry at all!! So I gave up and will come back with GPS if they are still here later in the week.

Searching for moveables with old GPX files is a recipe for disaster! This one was in another state by the time I looked for it!
Grabbed this one and moved it a 58km whilst out and about on a big day of caching.. thanks for the frog..

Dropped off with a few friends in a new state ready to meet new people and continue travelling.
Wow a gnome (and a big bugger too), not seen one of these for a while. Will let him ride in my car for a while as we drive around on our holiday.
Gnostic leaped out while we were frogging.

Someone has taken this gnome, BUT HAS NOT LOGGED IT !!!!
Yes, did search ALL big trees in the vicinity, even though I found the prior mentioned beer bottle at the tree in question - but NO Gnome!

Thought i'd get rid of him ontop of a hill. how heartless am i?
GPS was playing up, if you're having issues, he's in the most..obvious close tree to the trig. :S
(if you see the beer bottle, you are in the right spot )

Placed this fellow back into circulation - left him with a couple of mates.
Mr Winglen called over to McPhan's for some Secret Men's Business (mucking around with GPS') and picked up this gnome. TFTG!!
353. Grabbed it on the way to work (sort of). I'm sure he'll change hands shortly.

What a lovely way to tempt me.
Put a new unfound gnome, like 250m? away from where i'm spending too much time in the next two weeks near me. Woo!
So, i got this in my lunch break. Score.
Had a lovely reunion with geopirate and stop, before stop ran off
(Also have discovered i'm slightly allergic to rosemary. Score..)

Candy Cane 101 and I went for a walk this afternoon, placing gnomes in this area, according to some very specific instructions by Black Bunny. We haven't been told why, but we suspect a pattern is emerging. We also suspect that we were told to do it in a certain way, just to make us cross the creek the maximum number of times en route. We had fun anyway, and saw a lot of kangaroos and a few brown bunnies.
Went for a drive with black bunny and Just a cacher to a event., when the event was over, there were 50 gnomes and pathtag swapping
Thanks for the gnome

Grabbed this fellow to bring back to Canberra after the GLF & GFF event at Mt Victoria. One of 50 gnomes at the GLF & GFF event.
A chance to catch up with some Sydney cachers that we have only parried with on the forums, enjoy some good company and swap some tags.

It was a great day! The gnomes enjoyed it, and so did the non-gnomes.
Good food, good company, good pathtags, and magnificent weather and views!

Went for a drive today to catch up with a few gnomes that I heard were gathering at an event in the Blue Mt's. Something about the GLF and GFF calling a truce.
Meet a few gnoming aficiandos and even eat my way through a couple of gnome cup cakes (Thanks to Just a Cacher for those) while signing (almost) all the logs.
A great way, and a great spot, to spend an hour or 2.
Thanks to all who attended, great to meet you, along with the gnomes.

'Gnostic Gnomad' is ready to party with his mates, some new and some he has already met in his travels. With the GLF and the GFF comparing notes let's hope for a lasting peace.
Don't go looking for him before Saturday the 2nd of July, he won't come out and play until then!

And off he goes to Mt. Victoria Station! Where's he heading? Could it be One Tree Hill?
The Gnostic is on his way east again, on a special social mission for the GFF!

'Gnostic Gnomad' has reached Clwydd and is now comfortably out of the cold weather at the GFF Holiday Resort. He will no doubt be out and about again very soon. But before that he said that he would invite a few a his mates to join him here.
This being a top secret location, don't go looking for him, you will not find him.

Finally the photos of Gnostic's rebuild are downloaded. You will see his bottom was totally shattered into quite a few bits. I sent 5 mornings gluing these bits together but when I had finished, he seemed a bit fragile so we bound him up (and down) in fibreglass and resin. He's pretty stong now!
Ready to move on, Gnostic took off down the track and darted into the bush. He was ready for a lay down at this point. I think I saw him crash in between 2 rocks.
The secret society is being broken up. These Gnomes are ready to revolt and create a new following, The Leigon of the Crescent Moon! They have spilled their guts and are sick of the old assignments along with GFF, Clwydd etc. They are now ready to march on in protest. They will not go down without a fight! Gnome ON !!
'Gnostic Gnomad' has completed his required courses at the GFF headquarter and is now keeping an eye on the rail traffic, but he is not alone there is a whole team scattered along the rail line.
'Gnostic Gnomad' has come a long way to join the ranks of the GFF, he is very keen to undergo the survival training and learn of his new duties. No doubt he will be on his way very soon. He is now at the Clwydd headquarters.

Bright and shiny Gnostic Gnomad is taking the railways west to Clwydd, at least for the time being.
He'll no doubt receive the excellent GFF training there.
And then, who knows what mission he'll undertake?
Good bye, GG, and good luck!

What a great surprise to find Gnostic Gnomad under a bush . . .
Looks like he's had a fantastic make-over . . .
Now perhaps he needs to head up to Clwydd for some basic GFF training!

Gnostic is all smoothed out, painted up and ready to go. Yes, photots still have to be loaded but that will happen soon. I promise!
Gnostic needs a bit of smoothing off as he's very spikey right now so I've brought him to the workshop for a while
I've spent quite a few hours doing the Gnostic jigsaw puzzle on the porch table. We used one tube of superglue and bit by bit, he came together and eventually we had a Top and a Bottom. But the joining of these two bits seemed a bit dodgy so we went and got a fibreglass kit from Bunnings to add a bit of reinforcement.
This turned out to be a very sticky and messy part of the process Bits of fibre and lots of resin all over lots of things! Eventually with a bit of brute force, we managed to get the bits together and I wrapped Gnostic up in some rags and brought him back east in my hand luggage.

Gnostic turned out to be on the way from Perth to Beverley with just a short detour so we dropped by to find him in a really lovely park setting. When we turned up, his feet were pretty damp and I rescued him and lifted him onto dry land. CRASH!!! His whole bottom fell off in my hands! I suspect the terracotta had developed a crack with all the moisture. Whatever the cause, his bottom half is now in many quite small bits
Not to worry, this makes him eligible to log a find in damaged gegnome cache for me and his owner Photos will follow and some superglue might get him back on his feet in some way. Watch this space

This little guy has moved to Bletchley Park and found a lovely spot under the Board walk.
This is our first find as a new members to geo caching. Very excited to find the gnome. He is sleeping safely in our camper trailer for the next few nights. Will place him in a few days.
