Description
Gnome Movable Cache Race
Please note that this cache does not have physical log. As a moveable cache each finder must log it online, so rehiding the cache will also prove you actually have found it.
This mass migration has a few rules (not guidelines):
- The game commences at 00:00:00 1 December 2010 AEST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2011 AEST.
- The game administrators decision is final.
- You can not find and move your own cache during the game period.
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide).
- There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between.
- If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the cache mover may move your cache back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.
- There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache.
- Other cachers in the game may find / move your cache, but they must move it on within 2 days.
There are prizes up for grabs not just for cache owners but for cache movers too, so check out the moveable gnomes!

It appears this moveable has gone to the great 3 trunk tree in the sky, so we will be archiving it. Have fun, Fun Guy.
Return to the scene of the crime! Unfortunately I have to confirm that A Fun Guy is gone, nothing to find here.
I did contact the last hider back in May and he said he would go back and check but that never happened.

I have to wonder about this one, the coords are way off if it is supposed to be on the edge of a car park, nothing like that where GZ is. Beside there being no 3 trunk tree there.
I did have a look at random 3 trunk tree around the car parks but to no avail.
Would the last hider please confirm or amend the coords.

Wasn't heading this way to find this moveable, and so was surprised to see it come up on my GPS.
However, after a good look around on the down-hill side of the road, there was no luck in finding him - though I also didn't see anything that linked with the hint either.

Fun Guy and a few other gnomes came with me today as I headed out in Simmo's Beach reserve to find the Slippery Slide cache.
He was the only one who made it all the way to the cache, and then back to the carpark, however the call of the bush was too much for him and he jumped into a cosy spot in the sun just before reaching the geo-ute and told me to go home alone. Halfway home I picked up another gnome, so still had company for the rest of the trip.
(I have a location pic available if next searcher get stuck)

I went for a wander along Saltpan Creek this morning and wilth a bit of coaxing, was able to convince three gnomes to come out of their hiding places and join me. It probably helped that I had two others already with me when I left the car.
Before we headed home for a coffee (me, not them - I've read what coffee does to some of these gnomes) we stopped for a group photo by the water. Unfortunately they were all too short to take the photo, so I had to be the one who was out of shot.

This tiny little gnome hitched a ride with some mates and found the perfect little hiding spot. See if you can spot his red hat.
Got this tiny little gnome. The last time I saw him was at the gegnome party in Feb.
'Fun Guy' has now reached his destination, he seems to be very pleased with this spot and intends to make the best of it.
He is quite a funny little guy he had his mates in stitches all the way down from Leura and I had to change carriage to get away from the other passengers.

'Fun Guy' has now left the Leura transport hub. He is well on his way to his new assignment and will advise of his new location very soon. He seems in great spirit and eager to get going.

I left him chuckling away to himself . . .
Good luck, Fun!

'A Fun Guy!' decided to hang around the GFF Gnome Holiday Resort for a few days before carrying his new duties as assigned to him by the new GGA (GLF-GFF Alliance). He is well pleased with the results of the Mt Victoria conference and will enjoy some well deserved R&R.
Don't go looking for him, the location of the Holiday Resort is Top Secret, so you won't find him at the co-ords.

We found this gnome while attending the Blue Mountains Gnome Event. It was lovely to see him again as we are the ones to originally move him up here from Tas, so were happy to see he is still travelling. TFTG
Went for a drive today to catch up with a few gnomes that I heard were gathering at an event in the Blue Mt's. Something about the GLF and GFF calling a truce.
Meet a few gnoming aficiandos and even eat my way through a couple of gnome cup cakes (Thanks to Just a Cacher for those) while signing (almost) all the logs.
A great way, and a great spot, to spend an hour or 2.
Thanks to all who attended, great to meet you, along with the gnomes.

'A Fun Guy!' was one of the delegates at the Mt Victoria meeting between the GLF and the GFF. The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was duly signed by the 50 Gnomes present and every Gnomes went on his way very happy with the result.

Went for a walk with Candy Cane 101 and 'Loki' the new geo dog. Generally speaking, Candy Cane 101 is more trouble, I think, unless we see another dog. Lovely day, pleasant walk. Picked up to move on.

Moved just out of the Capital, and in a stumpy place with the same 2 mates he stayed with at the last stop.
Passed on by a local cacher, I will get him out soon.

2 Canberra gnomes kidnapped by the GGG (GNOME-MARE!!! & Mr Bump), with the aide of of a forward observer stationed at Oberon (Heave-Ho) formed the Gnome Liberation Front, and convinced a cadre of gnomes currently resident in the Blue Mountains environment, that their services were required in the ACT.
This led to a call being placed by the GLF for a mass extraction of the gnomes and various pickup points were organized. The gnomes had a long march from their various Lithgow detention points and a few gnomes were left in the region to gather intelligence in case of a need for future pickups.
Look for these gnomes to start appearing in Federal relief agencies as experts on the Flood recovery and CRPS programs.

Black Bunny, Mr_Roo and I went on a road trip to rescue some poor, imprisoned gnomes from Lithgow. To make the trip a bit more consistently busy, we found a few other caches on the way (and on the way home, too!).
At this point, the axles are starting to groan a bit. We have more gnomes than luggage.
We discovered a fun guy having a party in the back of the car with other gnomes. We think he hitched a ride when we weren't looking.

A Fun Guy has moved to new digs, you will find him close to the track in a pine tree hollow branch, remember he is small.
A Fun Guy was with 41 other gnomes at the event but he decided to go home with someone else.

Another great event today. On a stinking hot day in homebush oveer 40 gnomes showed up and looked to be having a great time especially this little guy. Oh yeah there where some fun people there aswell.
Looks like a couple of gnomes may have followed us home and there locations will be updated soon.
Thankyou to the organisers and who ever gave this little guy a lift. Looking forward to the next event.

A Fun Guy! has been the victim of a mass gnapping in Leura, the police has been informed and are looking at likely suspects. Unfortunately so far no lead have been uncovered. It seem that he has been the victim of a professional gang of Gnome gnappers.

AFG! is still having fun!
I tried to drop him off at Leura Station, but another fun-loving geocacher with a liking for gnomes was there, and picked him up!
AFG! could be in Lithgow now, for all I gknow . . .

Found among the 41 other Gnomes at 'The GeGnome Project - Post Gnome Get Together!' A great time was had by all, even the Gnomes and they spent their time having logs and other things pushed up their nether regions at least for most of them. A great way to see Gnomes that I would not have been able to get to otherwise.

I encountered AFG! yet again at the The Gegnome Project-Post Gnome Get Together at Homebush Bay! I hadn't seen him for some days.
He was one of an amazing variety of 42 gnomes in attendance on the day, at Wentworth Commons -- and a few gnome-mad geocachers attended as well . . . The scorching 41 degree temperatures didn't dent our enthusiasm.
Since he has no log book, this online log will serve to confirm that I've officially made AFG!'s acquaintance once more.
Congratulations to all those battle-hardened gnomes who survived the rigours of the recent competition and our condolences to the owners of those who suffered injuries and/damage or who were finally declared 'missing in action' . . .
This gnome can now take a very well-deserved break, doing whatever it is that gnomes do when they take well-deserved break . . .

Good to catch up with the fun loving little gnome now the race is over, spotted him relaxing with others at the gnome party today.
Well what a party that was! There were way more gnomes (42!!!) than cachers (maybe 10 teams, about 20 people) and things almost got out of hand Luckily some of the gnomes who attended were able to keep a bit of control - Bruce the Gninja, GeoPirate, Gno-mad, Gnome-Mare and Geolady were big enough and tough enough to exert some authority.
We held a ballot to see who would go home in which car and A Fun Guy agreed to take pjmpjm becasue there always seemed to be a party at his place

A Fun Guy will join the other gnomes at the after race party tomorrow after which he will be back on the road again.
On a bike ride this morning, we stopped by here to see if A Fun guy was waiting here for us. No, he wasn't Now I see why Hunter-Finder
When I saw that A Fun Guy had been missed by rogerw3 I took off to Meadowbank to try and find him. I misjudged where he was and had a long walk from where I parked the car. At GZ I soon located the right tree and the rock, and I could see where rogerw3 had looked. I scratched around in the leaf litter to the right of the rock and a little gnome popped up and said "Surprise, you found me". It was a warm day and he was happy to have a ride in my pocket back to the car.
A cute little fellow indeed.

I went and looked but did not find 'A Fun Guy'. I found the small tree, I found the horizontal branch along the ground, I found the small stone but could not see the Gnome.
Mind you I have only realised how small he is, so it is possible I missed him completely.

Fun guy decided to get out of the car here and hide under a wattle shrub to watch the nearby excercising muggles. He curled up under a horizontal branch next to a small rock.
This little gnome enjoyed being with my little cuddly tigers! - Big GeoGirl
As the weather is drying up around here A Fun Guy asked to be placed in a spot where his fungal problems would not diminish.
We opted for a spot that would allow him to slowly dry out.

This fun guy had heard this place was always a good spot for a party so headed over there very early this morning. He found a nice little island, sent out some invitations and settled in for the guests to arrive
This guys is being sent along the transportation channels to meet as many as possible in the short time left in the race
Fun? Yep, we can probably give this third memeber of the hazelbrook Three a few parties to keep him amused
Found him at the Dural party but he couldn't be coaxed into the car. A better offer was coming he said!
Driving past Dural late at night, what's this, a bunch of Gnomes flagging me down. All they wanted was to say hello, as they were waiting for another ride. So hi I said and bye I said

Gnomes just wanna have fun!
So where else to take them unless it's the 'fun centre' of Dural?
I suspect that there are at least of couple of gnome-lovers around these parts who will show them a good time.
Have a good one, Fun!

Found diminutive 'A Fun Guy!' as part of 'The Hazelbrook Tree' who were hanging out as a kind of Tasmanian gang, I guess, right at the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park. Someone must have told them that they weren't allowed to go into the NP, so they gathered together quite near the Sublime Point cliffs in South Leura, where there's a beautiful view of Mt. Solitary.
Unfortunately, it was pitch dark, so 'A Fun Guy!' and his mates didn't get much of a view of the Jamison Valley. I dropped by after midnight and hustled them to the house. Since the locale was fairly close, I accomplished this task on foot!
'Fun' and his pals are due to move into Sydney tomorrow. Wonder what they'll think of 'The Big Smoke?' Remember that little 'Fun' has no attached log book, so he's purely 'electronic' gnome . . . very modern indeed.

Hidden in lovely Leura, waiting for someone to take him back to Sydney.
The rain finally stopped so A fun guy went looking for a hollow log to grow some mushrooms in
Gnabbed. He had his thumb out to hitch a lift and has decided he will be travelling to sydney with us this weekend. Hope he doesn"t get seasick.
This little fella likes to watch the sail boats!
There was a gnome party happening at our house for new years, but we have been attacked
The tide was low and we found a gnome. Off to see where he can roam.
Seems Fun Guy is getting ready to party singing along to Blondie. We shall teach him better the Gnome Gnabbers

Left the fun guy here to ponder his next move. Hopefully gps is correct despite the shading. May be tricky at really high tide.
Unless the coordinates are way out (or I didn't look hard enough) then he has moved on already...
Fun guy is the second gnome we've encountered with a fetish for trains. Taking a leisurely walk and he starts heading up the bank towards the train tracks. He stopped halfway and said he was a little breathless and would take a rest beside a nice warm rock. Told him it wasn't the best place to be in the dark but he wouldn't listen so we left him to his own devices.
Fun Guy has been out enjoying the view with Norman, but is now ready to move on and see more of the world. Cheers the Gnome Gnabbers

Was the smallest of the gnomes at the party in the park but he gave as good as he got. He's looking forward to his next adventure but feels overawed by all the bigger gnomes watching over him.
Came looking for norman when we heard this small squeak, guess who we found not far away.
Amazingly we found Norman sitting watching us as we dropped of the fun guy. Small place tasmania
Fun guy is back out in the wild smelling the roses. The colour of the rose bush is quite stunning.
Well the co- rods put them on a door step and therefore the obvious thing to do was ring the bell. So collected from the previous gnome gnawers and their trained guard dog!
Quickly retrieved gnome and will attempt to set free shortly.

I'm logging a moved to record the last spot he was sighted by Snuva. . .
I was upstairs when the front door bell rang. My husband answered the door. . .and it was GNOME GNAPPERS!! They'd come for Norman, but I thought I'd best hand over A Fun Guy! to pacify them. And besides, they looked like fun guys!

A ride has been hitched! The fun guy is heading south to the big city. News and views will be posted.
The wee Fun Guy is heading to town for some fun. Thanks Guripper and DGT for another travelling gnome.
better give a hint then .....we live at 27 and he is under our pretend letterbox!
Our GPS said it could be in one of 2 front yards, and given it was broad daylight we decided to give it a miss for now, sorry!
