Description

Round Corner Palm Trees Traditional Cache

Despite its many good features, Round Corner isn't exactly a South Pacific tropical paradise.

But there are actually a couple of palm trees growing there. And near them there's a tiny geocache lurking!

The search for this cache will take you to the extreme eastern side of the complicated Round Corner shopping complex, near a section of shops that are otherwise easily overlooked. For example, there's a little-known establishment that specialises in items imported from Africa. You'll also find yourself near the back door of the local pizza parlour -- quite a popular spot.

You might well have a look for the cache while waiting for a bus, but the container won't actually be visible. A bit of intensive 'investigation' will be necessary.

I hope this cache adventure is a fun one. There are really no historical or educational angles here . . .

Good luck!

I honestly did not expect to find this. Visit no.3, but I knew the Ebenezer crew had found it recently. It was helpful to know that it was magnetic. the "low" part was something I missed, but on the way back to the car in defeat, i saw something that a magnet would adhere to...and there it was. How satisfying.

Out with Team Merlin. Made a quick find of this cache. Signed and replaced container and log are in good condition.

Out for an afternoon cache run with JJCC. After an initial search we lowered our elevation slightly and it was at this stage we made a nice quick find. Signed and replaced in between the niggles walking passed. Container and log are in good condition.

Hi pjmpjm....

Out and about in the area while my wife was horse shopping....yes, horse shopping....so I headed out this way to grab a GCA caches. Not too many problems here, just one muggle who sat in his car down below too long my liking. Anyway, grab was made after he left, log signed and all was good. Cache in good condition....

Thanks for the fun....

Out for a day's geocaching with pjmpjm doing the driving duties as usual!
For some unknown reasons I had not logged this cache and since the CO was with me I had no trouble finding it. Signed and returned to its rightful place.
Thanks for another GCA cache.

Loving the density of GCA caches around these parts! Cache #6 of 7 for my low scoring Dural Heptathlon this afternoon. Took a little finding but careful reading got me there. Still not sure how to cure PJM of his nano tendencies but today they were helping with no DNFs and lots of low scores... just what the GeoSportz ordered!

Still lookin' good!

After making as much sense of the description as possible, I arrived at a likely spot and felt about to no avail. Up to the trees but didn't spot anything too likely. So back to the original spot and just a little more feeling and the cache was found. The O ring has perished but the log is fine - seems like a very dry spot. Thanks pjm.

I needed to Phone-A-Friend for this one as I felt a little exposed on a Saturday afternoon!

After looking around near the trees I had another idea, and found a spot I could just see the cache from. Then it was just a case of grabbing it while the Chinese restaurant guys over the lane were out the back. Took it away to sign, then when it was time to replace they thoughtfully went back inside. Thanks pjmpjm.

I was in the vicinity but my gps kept me wandering across the road and back, up and down, across the road again and back. Evil or Very Mad What is it about this spot that can't get a good fix? There don't appear to be any real obstacles but there must be something there. After trying really hard not to appear obvious, I had to give up. Several people had glanced my way and I just couldn't work out where to sit or stand that didn't look a bit wierd and out of place. Plus I couldn't find the cache. Maybe I'll have to go on a Sunday morning about 6am

Sneaky little cache well hidden. It's hard to look inconspicuous in the middle of a busy shopping precinct, especially when your search stretches to half an hour plus. Still, persistence paid off and I found it.
Then I had a job getting the log scroll back into the cache! TFTC pjmpjm.

As a newbie this one was too tricky for me Sad
Must admit I'm not quite sure what I was looking for .. will give it more thought and head back another day. Thanks for the challenge.

After a battery malfunction aborted our attempt last week we came back and had a good look on one of the quietest days of the year. Had the centre to ourselves and had a good long look in the places referred to in the description with no luck. GZ appears to be in the middle of the lane from time to time but we knew that wasn't right. Gave up for a minute or two while went went and quickly found RC Cappuccino and sent a text to the CO to confirm my suspicions, came back and made a quick find. It's all about feel this one. A tricky little hide.
Thanks!

Ahhh, my first GCA FTF cache and a by pjmpjm to boot. Saw this in my area and had to take a stab. Got to GZ, saw the Palms and went hmmm....
Fairly quiet after 6pm, so walked around checking...checking...till I though pjm might be a little clever here. So after getting the coffee cache Wink and coming back I widend my search and there she was hiding but easy to get. Log was hard to get out so back to the car to get the CK (Cache Kit)for more tools. Got it out and YEEHAR...FTF...nice. SL. Great spot pjm, even saw shops that I'd never seen before and I come here a bit. TFTC. CoolCool

Sadly too many muggles around to conduct a thorough search today, I will return at a time when the area is quieter.
