Definitely not my 1000 find but getting there!! A simple fun find, cool to see that we weren’t the first ones to find this in 2 years!!

27-Dec-18
Nice and easy...and the same container that geodad used as a replacement a few years ago.

27-Dec-18
Found after some good shopping in the Plaza.

17-Oct-18
Came to complete a couple of caches & a trig – liked the cache container – my caching finding centre at the moment is between Dubbo and Cobar and for Finding Centre Geocaching Australia it’s between Cobar and Griffith so I think yours is easier to get to - TFTC / TFTH / SL Clan Griffin

#GA2965 - 11:50; Day 2 of a big bonus caching adventure in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After a quiet night in Katoomba, we are heading back down the mountain for home. After a stops in Springwood, Glenbrook and Lapstone, where we did some serious bush bashing, we we back on the flat when we stopped off to grab this cache. Parked and headed to the logical spot and quickly located the cache. Not sure it's a micro though! A small perhaps? Anyway, managed the find and now have our names in the log. After a couple of days in the Blue Mountains caching with LuckyL10n we were now on our way home and stopped by a few caches around Penrith. No problems here and the cache was soon in hand. All in good nic.

Thanks Team Canary....

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1339. Found during a work trip up to the Penrith region.

Another work trip up to the Penrith Region, and this time I decided to mainly concentrate on GCA Caches - and again mainly trigs. Early starts means early finishes which gives me some time to drive around collecting the trigs and trads on my target list. Today unfortunately it was quite wet - lots of rain about. However that didn't stop me and once I hit the road it didn't take to long to get to the next stop. Once at GZ it was a quick find - this one hasnt been found for quite a while - then it was off to the next one.

Another nice GCA cache to add to the collection.

TFTC !!

With permission from the CO, I have replaced this cache. Not the standard kind of container usually found, but I had it in the car and felt like using it!

The spiders are loving this cache more than cachers at the moment. I dropped the cache like twice before i was sure the lovely spiders had gone! Then upon checking the place of hiding I discovered more! Simply refused to let my hand go anywhere near the spidies. The geodad bravely put in back in for me.

TFTC?

Still on the way up the mountains went for TC #1000 as well. More quieter road this time and a simple find, although I was following my GPSr for too long before finding this with my eyes. TFTC.

Was the purveyor of bad news when I found a crispy tree.but now I have returned and found a nice clean happy uncrispy or molten cache.
found on the way home from a very busy hard day at work. But finished with a cache thats a good way to finish a hard day.
Thanks Acko

06-Jan-12
Moved slightly, but ready to go.

31-Oct-11
Farewell to a memorable hide!

30-Oct-11
Someone decided to burn my cache down!

Will be back soon.

30-Oct-11
I can confirm that the cache has been incinerated. Was shocked to see the burnt remains of the tree on the way to my triathlon this morning. On the way back I stopped to see if anything could be salvaged. The cache has spontaneously combusted, nothing left and not even it's hidey hole. You will need a new GZ, this one is toasted.

21-Oct-11
g'day sorry but gotta feelin that the cache may now be a blob of molten plastic like the tree is a blob of ash and cinders and shattered auto glass. Hope i'm wrong.
Thanks Acko.

13-Aug-11
Found today on my way to the 'Upper Castlereagh' Trig. All I can say is I got "ouched" twice but not bad enough to draw blood!
I recovered my own GCA trackable and left my signature Pathtag.
Thanks for a neat and seriously "ouchy" cache.

19-Apr-11
We had to make a quick stop in Penrith today, so I had a look to see if there were any caches nearby that we could look for while we were down there. I spotted this one on the map & added it to my list.

It became an easy find for my eldest - he was calling out that he'd found it while I was still getting the girls out of the car. But he did have to suffer a few ouches to retrieve it Very Happy . I did the replacing for him, to save him from collecting more ouches.

Thanks Canary.

Left a yowie swaggie, he looks bad tempered enough to match the ouchies.

20-Feb-11
Interesting hide. What a bonus, a cache right beside the regatta centre.
Found this after my triathlon. Hope the container lasts.

30-Jan-11
Simple find on a nice late afternoon in the shade from the line of gumtrees nearby. Took jewelled gecko, left rainbow swirl bouncy ball. TFTC Team Canary

15-Jan-11
Great to find this one on a relatively lonely stretch of road after navigating busy Penrith. I love to find these GCAs, which are so scarce in some areas -- though certainly not in the Blue Mountains.

Container was in good shape and the contents were dry. TNLNSL.

Didn't lose any blood retrieving this cache, but came close!

Many thanks to Team Canary for setting up this one.

09-Jan-11
An easy cache to find, not so easy to extract. I left Zac in the car as we parked next to it and he could see from the car seat. I handed him the cache to open and look at the contents. He wanted the golf ball to add to his ball collection, but I had not swaps left in the bag. In the end we left the ball in the cache and just signed the log. Interesting concept for a geocache.

02-Jan-11
This is only my 2nd GCA cache I've done(though it will probably come up as my 1st since I have yet to log the other one). We'll probably start doing a few more of them in the future. Thanks for the ouch factor Canary! A nice spot!

02-Jan-11
I sprung my caching buddy, Canary, the other day placing a GCA cache back in Woodford while I was dropping off a gnome, and he told me about this one. I figured I should start doing a few GCA caches, so we did this one today while we were taking our kids to the indoor rock climbing centre nearby. The WaywardWoman did have a little ouch retrieving this, so it was left to me to finally get it. Thanks Canary!

31-Dec-10
What a way to finish 2010 off but with a FTF at 12 noon. It is a nice location the Penrith Aquatic Parklands to visit and reminisce the moments of the 2000 Olympics or ride a bike around the rowing course. If you want just visit the coffee shop at the white water rafting centre. We exchanged swaps and I recommend gloves! Thanks Team Canary and have a Happy 2011. DancingLaughingDancing
