Description
A Floating Magnetic
A Devilish Cache
This cache may possibly be at the given coordinates but it’s highly unlikely. It spends most of its time moving north and south with a short stop at each end.
You have to be aboard the Spirit of Tasmania-1 to access this cache. The coordinates given were recorded as we crossed paths with Spirit of Tasmania-2 half way across Bass Strait. No coordinates are going to help you find the cache as it is located in the BLUE STAIR TOWER which is about the mid point from bow to stern and mid point between port and starboard, in the centre of the ship.
This is a very high muggle area and they can come at you from above and below via the stairs as well as out of the lift to the rear and the access door from the starboard side. Extreme and creative stealth may be required. Be patient, you have about eight hours to pick a moment when the area is deserted.
Take note of the photo. You need to be on level-9 to grab the cache although it can only be seen from level-8. When you spot the little green label, with a symbol of the stairs, at floor level you have the right spot. The magnetic cache is attached to the side of the staircase as high as possible to floor level. Scan for muggles then reach between the stairs and the side near where the little green label is attached. It’s an easy grab then you can sit on the stairs while you record the tracking number. There is no log to sign. YOU SHOULD RECORD THE NUMBER because you MUST NOT TAKE the trackable. Then after another quick muggle scan just slip it back into place as close to the top of the stairs as you can.
1. You must log the trackable to claim the cache find. Log the trackable as DISCOVERED on www.geocaching.com
2. Log your cache find on www.geocaching.com.au
3. Post a photo of yourself with the Little Spirited Devil (and post coordinates if possible) when you log your find.
