A glorious day to be out caching. A nice quick find, no muggles around but we were wary of snakes as had heard a few sounds of slithering at the GC cache that had us on the lookout. TFTC

16-Jan-21

Thanks for the cache Sirius Tas. RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I had been lucky enough to spend the weekend at Hawley Beach. As we headed off after having the most gorgeous breakfast at our accommmodation, we stopped by to find some caches in this little reserve. A nice little walk to GZ and the cache was soon found.

Thanks for the walk Sirius, it is a very quite pleasant place. At GZ the GPS was a bit squirly but settled enough to get a fix and then a eye on the cache. All good.

Next stop on my slow exploring tour of the area. This is a neat little reserve. Didn't take to walk around, but it was a pleasant little walk. Cache was found without issue and all was good.

Thanks for a another ST....

#GA2822 - 10:45; After an early morning arrival in Devonport, the geohoney and I disembarked from the Spirit of Tasmania II with a bit of time on our hands before we headed to Port Sorell for breakfast with friends finally located a bakery in Latrobe after failing to do so in Devonport, but we did find a couple of caches there. After a nice breakfast in our friends' new home, it was time to head off again for Hobart. On the way out of town, stopped off to give this cache atry, just as rain started falling again. Made my way along the track and was soon at GZ with the hunt underway. The GPSr had me wandering around a bit, but after it settled down I made it to the correct GZ and soon after had the cache in hand and the new replacement log signed. Found spot that matched description of GZ but nothing there except a plastic lid. May need checking as has not been found for a long time. No luck for me.

Geoniece and I headed out early evening to find this one.

GZ seems like a strange little dead end path - I expected at least a bench seat or something??

Found the cache easily thanks to clue. Luckily no sign of the spider nylf saw. Dancing

Had to try and explain the definition of "value" when explaining to geoniece that she can't swap flowers off a nearby tree for a toy she like the look of in the cache. That said, TNLNSL.

We had a short stroll around this great little reserve. The boy had no problem in finding this while mum and dad waited. TFTC

Finally Finally Finally Very Happy
I think I was suffering from extreme cache blindness.

Visit 1 - A little explore, but the rain chased us out ...
Visit 2 - Feb 2012 - after a swim, went for a look, but didn't even get near it, because of a massive thunderstorm.
Visit 3 - Logged 2nd March 2012. Soon became a few months!
Visit 4 - Found it!!!

Thanks for the great little suburban cache. A beaut spot.

Great little park with its walkways - thanks for getting us here Smile

We clearly understood the clue and quickly found the cache. We have hidden 1 in a similar situation so we think that helped us understand the clue!

Many thanks for bringing me here Sirius

Driving past here, I noticed that the GPSr was showing a nearby cache, so I stopped and went for a walk.
What a surprisingly lovely little reserve, with winding paths like a maze (and even a sign to tell you how to getback to your car).
After finding the cache, I walked back to the car and for the second time in two days, discovered I had dropped my keys.
This time, thankfully, I found them in the middle of the path.
Thanks sirius!

Found during a break from work. I'm surprised there wasn't a cache in this reserve sooner...

One day I will put a cache here.....well Sirius beat me to this cache! Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy
This is a reserve that I often visit when working in the Shearwater region and so I looked forward to finding the cache when I was over this way for work. A number of trails crisscross this reserve and so choosing the right one can be a bit of a lottery, but I enjoy the search and the round about route that it entailed. Thanks Sirius for a cache in a reserve well worth exploring especially with its abundant birdlife.

Spot on co-ords made this an easy find. A nice walk in the park out of the wind. TNLN Thanks Sirius

02-Jul-11
Luckily my GPSr was spot on as I initially had visions of moving lots of things to get at the cache. GPSr could be handy here as there are lots of meandering paths in the reserve. TNLN. TFTC!

A quick find in an area we were unaware of despite the fact that we have been camping out here for two weeks every summer for years. A little ankle biter wasn't too happy about us being on 'his tracks' and gave us a good growl. Thanks. Will explore the area a bit more next summer.

11-Jun-11
Yet another place we didnt know was there!!! msany thanks

11-Jun-11
Its so often the case when we say been past heaps of times but never knew this was here well here we go again. Top cache Sirius and many thanks.

10-Jun-11
Never been here before enjoyed the stroll to GZ where we made a quick find TFTC

09-Jun-11
On arrival a work crew was very busy cleaning up fallen and unwanted limbs and shrubs. Thankfully they were no where near GZ. It took a few minutes for our GPS to settle, but when it did it lead us straight to the cache - spot on coordinates as usual. We have visted this park a couple of times and always enjoy the atmosphere and flora of the area. A FTF at 11:45. TFTC Sirius
