Description
Easy parking at a lookout in Kingaroy
This cache was placed as a project by a close friend (Trevor) for whom I act as a carer and support worker. He is quite excited at the prospect of others finding it and leaving swaps. It is well hidden from view, but should not be too difficult to find. If you're planning on visiting Kingaroy, take a drive up to this one and sign the log - it'll make Trevs day. No hints for this one - I'm sure you'll figure it out.
Logs
#GA3521 - 13:35; Day 2 of the South East Queensland tour with Sol de lune. Made it to Nanango late yesterday after getting belted by a storm later in the afternoon/early evening. Much to our relief the heavy rain seems to be moving on and it is only overcast and occasional light drizzle this morning. Spending today caching around Nanango and Kingaroy and hoping to clear a swag of GCA puzzles from the 'solved but unfound' list we have been compiling for the past couple of years. We were now underway and enjoying a variety of cache types and hides, some taking longer than other to make the find amongst the long grasses and having to make the right choice from the variety of possibilities available. Time to take a detour up the hill when we hit Kingaroy for me to pick up this one. TFTC Bindair Dundat

A tough find for me this morning
Not many places the cache could be hiding,
but I overlooked the cache for ages
I decided it was time to battle the scratchy shrubberies,
and soon found the cache after that
After signing the logbook,
all I had to do was place the cache back in its hidey hole,
and get all the bits of shrub out of me hair

Took a couple of minutes to spot this one, but wow, what a neat little hidey hole. Cache fits in just nicely. Things are a little wet but the log was dry and that is the main thing.
Thanks for the cache...and I hope anyone who reads the logs enjoys reading them.

Was in the area and went to have a look at this one as I had my 10 year old grand son with me. Only placing a find claim on this one as I need a Trad for the 21016/2017 Summer Scvenger Series Games. Many thanks for continuing on with ths obsession.

my first find with geocaching Australia. thanks for the cash I'm looking forward to finding more
Made this cache the last for the day. A few muggles were around when we arrived so we went over and checked out the lookout first.
The cache was quickly located at GZ thanks to accurate coordinates. Getting it out of its hidey hole was tricky and at one stage we thought we weren't going to be able to extract it. A bit of perseverance was needed in the end.
Thanks for placing a GCA cache and what a good spot to put it Trev.

Found this one earlier today on our way to my dads 60th birthday party.
Very well hidden but log is damp and there was a pool of water in the bottom.
The kids enjoyed this one, they had a great time looking for it.
Thank you very much.
Say hi to Trev for us.

This cache is located near to where we placed a GC cache recently. Found okay, a little damp but otherwise in good order. Lots of muggles out and about today so took a bit of time waiting for them to leave. Thanks Trevor

We came here looking for a view & a cache. We found the view rather restricted by the vegetation but found the cache just fine after a little hunting around. Nice camo job!
Yay. Finally had a win and found a cache. This is the last one we had time for before heading home today. Had a look at the view and off we went. Thanks for the cache. ☺
Found at 9.44 hrs. Doesn't look like this cache has had much activity of late. Passing through Kingaroy and grabbed a few caches.

After Roaring Fords comment about the toad taking up residence, I went up there today armed with "toad medicine" aka dettol spray , but alas no intruder was to be found. The cache is still well placed, albeit a little tight to retrieve, and the contents appear to be dry and in good condition. Happy Caching from Bindair Dundat and Trevor.
Trev, thanks for this cache it was a good hide and took me a while to find. Then when I did find it, it is sharing its hide with a huge toad, at least I think it was a toad. It was wrapped around the cache container and no matter of prodding with a stick would make it move.
THerefore I need your permission to log this cache without having signed the log because there was no way I was putting my hand anywhere near whatever it was.

12.40pm Grabbed some pizza for lunch in town and enjoyed sitting in the park eating it, without a soul around, but when we finished lunch and wanted to find the cache, people came out of the woodwork...
A short wait and we soon had it found, tell Trev I swapped the platypus with a toy soldier, cheers

It took me a while to locate the right spot and then a bit of a fiddle to extract the cache.
All good inside.
I left a smilie key ring for Trevor in there.
Checked out the view from the look out before I left.

Oh, we have been to this spot before, either for a cache or a waypoint to a multi. It is a nice place to visit and we found the cache easily. TFTC Bindair Dundat
Was in Kingaroy for work. I brought a travel bug from the USA with me. Hope someone picks up woody and shows him around Australia. Nice view and good size container.

Good sized container and a good hide. Not too dificult to find and not too easy for passerby muggles to see. Good spot. Took FTF pathtag and one toy. Left many toys. SL TFTC. Welcome to this exciting game Trevor. Thankyou Bindair Dundat
