The cache seems to be gone....and it sounds like the area is no longer available to visit, so we'll archive the cache....
I am brand new to Geocaching and this was my first attempt as I live in Railton and have spent the last 6 years using this area as my playground. Found the location and "hint" spot but the container is no longer there. Added a photo to confirm the location. I can also confirm that this area is the property of Cement Australia is becoming very overgrown. Plus the track mention in the previous posts now has the new Railton mountain bikes tracks cut across it.
This geocache looks to be on private land and the access is blocked by many "Private Property" signs put up by Goliath Cement. I could not find a way up to the cache.
Took the walk from the suggested co-ords.....and up and up I went. Went too far so had to head back down, but the cache was found without issue and the walk back down was a bit easier. Bit smokey from up there today, but have included a photo anyway.
Thanks Moeyy...views would be good a clear day.

Lovely walk up to this one, did the same trick as the previous poster almost and went a few meters down the wrong track before we realised. Too busy chatting, TFTC
Have geocached all over the world and this one in my home town nearly brought me undone. Finding the cache wasn't a problem but getting back to the car turned into a bit if a saga. Started to rain no problem just walk a bit faster. GPS batteries goes flat and then I take the wrong track and end up at a dead end. Finally found my way back in a very wet a bedraggled state. TFTC.

Hi Moeyy
Finally found the track into this cache. The first few yards were a bit steep but the rest of the walk was most enjoyable.
Found, logged and replaced the cache at 1402hrs
Congrats on a good first hide.
TFTC and cheers

What a superb view of our town. Sitting around the house today we thought we needed to go for a quick walk. So away went went. The boy fought the Blackberries to retrieve the cache. Took the Olympic pin and left a toy Goat and fluffy chicken. TFTC.

Finally made it 100 caches !!!!
But this cache was full of fun on a "brisk" winters day.
We headed up through the mud following the directions noted in the earlier log. At a junction about 5 minutes up from the road, as we were following the GPS arrow, we followed a 4WD track west and ended up above/west of the cache by 200m. We pushed on and found a track that took us down to the fence-line. From there it was a quick path back to the cache, which was quickly in the hands of Mrs 22.
TFTC, a memorable one for our 100th.

It was nice to run into the cache owner who told me the directions to get to the track kindly marked by 2y'stassies.
Nice little walk rewarded by nice views.
Many thanks.

Many thanks.
drove with trusty 4wd straight to this one and was glad after seeing the huge snake sunning itself on the track. Gz is getting overrun with grass and blackberries so we were not keen on searching for cache. Dave dad braved the prickles and found and logged cache. great view from hill.

Walked in from Newbed Rd, a pleasant stroll that was hindered by killer blackberies that wanted to trip us up. Rewarded with great views. TFTC

Nice walk into quite a speccy view of Railton and surrounds. I take it that this is a local walking spot as it traverses private property.
Another enjoyable spot....TFTC Moeyy....Cheers.

This cache is located on what used to be part of Mrs y'stassies family farm. Local knowledge helped in locating an access track. Our GPS took us up Hamilton's Road - the road to the farm, which we knew ended at gates to private property. The gate was ajar but Mrs y's T thought she remembered a track on the other side of Newbed Road that should get us much closer. Off we went ignoring GPS. Found track, not the one remembered but it took us straight to the cache, a quick find. View over the little town was much the same as it was during the 50's and 60's when Mrs y'st played in the bush, very pretty with its veil of mist. The trees are now plantation gums not the native cherry, manferns, sheoak and gums that were once here however the birds still frequent the area as do the blackberries and the rumble of the mine and cement plant is still audible in the background. Thanks Moeyy for the trip down memory lane and an enjoyable morning caching. The track off Newbed Road starts at S41 20.086 E146 24.386 Oh almost forgot Mrs 2y'stassie was delighted with a FTF in her old back paddock.
