today we choose to target all the caches in the Trevallyn dam area, we attempted 14 caches with 13 finds and 1 DNF. it was a very hot waling along the trail so we were always on the look out for our slithering friends.
this was our did not find today. we found the tree with sticks and nails in it but couldnt locate cache in the area. TFTC

Checked on this one today - disappointed to find the cache guardian gone - replaced log book in new film canister good to go.
Not sure why we had to be careful in replacing this cache - I think maybe it's not as it was when first placed. The log was soaking and the container was a bit smelly. Left the lid a bit ajar to try to dry it out. (If it rains before you get up there it cant get any wetter than it already is.) Couldnt sign the log but promise I found it! This one needs a bit of tlc. Thanks for this fantastic series. Love your ingenuity.
I was out doing one of the walks around Trevallyn Reserve and the Cataract Gorge Reserve and found this one on my return, who knows what else was out there (Branching out #1-5 I guess), I really need to be more organised. Couldn't sign the log as it was soaking wet, so see attached photo for proof. TFTC.
Quick find here. Log slightly damp but still serviceable. A bit sorry to end the series but very happy to have done it & now keen to find lots more GCA caches. Thanks for a fantastic series & TFTC!

This was the first of the Branching Out series as we did them backward. The group of us all came from Deadman's Knob but split into 3 lost as we found our way here. SSR had found and replaced this before we arrived. We found it and signed it before the balance of the group arrived and let them find it too. A great start (or end?!) to this clever and devious series. TFTC

After the event today this was the first GCA find, after leaving deadmans knob I walked part way back to the hut and then turned off at the closest point and walked on a bearing until I got to GZ. I had been delayed after the last find since I was dropping off a movable and believed the others had already found the cache so I added my name to the log and then noticed I was the first to find it today and so when I spotted the others coming I re-hid the cache so they could find it too.
I had a great days caching with a great people today.

Checked on this cache today and the others in the series. Still in position and in good order.
In the area grabbing a couple of GC caches so off for a bit of a detour. Not in the first more typical spot searched so got the cogs churning a little faster to track it down.. thanks..!!

And now for something completely different. John Cleese would love this one. But alas, say no more.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers....a fun cache to finish a fun series. Well done on all the set ups. *Recommended* for the memories.

TFTC what a great series. I have really enjoyed doing these. Cache was where I expected it to be when I got to GZ but did take me a little while to find GZ.

I was in the Hoo Hoo area mopping up a couple of GC caches. When I got back to the car I had just enough energy left in the legs for one more find (via a visit to the lookout). Now that I've started at the end of the series I'll just have to come back & do them all won't I? An excellent hide Tassie Trekkers. A good thing no-one was within cooee as my "hoo hoo's" on finding would have given the game away. As I can't award a fav point I'll give it a whole bunch of thumbs instead.

Checked on this cache and the others in the series.
Found cache and it's guardian on the ground - replaced log and made the hide more secure. Hopefully cache stays in place.

Pretty sure I found where it should be, but nothing other than there than a piece of wire, stringy stuff and nails in the tree. Should this one be checked?
I've only just started locating caches from the GCA website and so far I have not been disappointed with the quality of the hides. Really enjoying this series. One problem at the final hide though, the cache container was on the ground and the log sheet was saturated. We signed a piece of bark instead and replaced container to where it should be. Great series Tassie Trekkers with quality hides. TFTC
I spotted this one but needed help to reach it. Thank goodness one of us is not so vertically challenged. We've loved this series. Great work Tassie Trekkers! TFTC
A walk in the bush and the final cache was found without any trouble. Loved it, what a nice end to the series! A fantastic set of caches that was not only fun and enjoyable but challenging as well, really testing your observation skills! It was also a really pleasant bushwalk along the gorge with some great views along the way.
I am so grateful for creative caches like this. For us, geocaching is becoming increasingly boring finding the same old fruit jars and mint tins over and over; caches that show some ingenuity like this series put the fun and excitement back into the game. I wish there were more like it. Thanks heaps Tassie Trekkers!

Found hide easily enough...but gz empty. Looked around on the ground and found it...all ok. This was one of three that I'd found on the ground...not sure what's going on. Top hide in a quiet spot...TFTC..Cheers.

This is a truly amazing cache and my favourite one in the whole series. Difficult to find, but when found it was a huge and funny surprise. We had a huge laugh about it afterwards! Thankyou for the time and effort put in to this cache. A truly amazing cache!

Last in the series and apart from some comments about "whose head height?" the cache was soon in hand. Thanks TT's, I've always had a few reservations about series of caches but this was an enjoyable afternoon out, without a frog to be seen. Thanks again!

We decided to increase the difficulty of this series by doing it in reverse. Great cache and a memorable series. A lot of thought and effort has gone into it and we enjoyed it immensely. TNLNSL. Thankyou for organising the hunt.

As all who have done this series of 6 caches have mentioned, what a terrific set of well thought out, cunningly crafted and placed caches!
Thank you so much for spending what would have to be an awful lot of time constructing these hides and probably an equal amount of time placing them.
You have given a lot of pleasure to many people already and will continue to do so into the future. I can't find these caches listed on the .com site just the .com.au site so some people must be missing out.
A neat little twist to the theme to finish the series. Thanks so much

The whole series kept me guessing! A great hide to finish the series off! Log is a little damp, but container otherwise appears dry.
Thanks for putting in the time to make this great series! TFTC

It was quite sad to reach the end of this marvelous series, all of which were a delight to discover. Had a most enjoyable walk through the bush, accompanied by sounds of running water, roos, kookaburras, other birds, butterflies - and even ticks!
And what a beautiful note to finish on. Loved it! Thanks very much indeed for the exercise and all the effort put into this series Tassie Trekkers.

Drove to the Hoo Hoo Hut and mounted my attack from there. I briefly read the description and saw 30 minutes one way - who are they kidding? Its only 140croms, how could that take 30 minutes. Later, after completing the cache, I read the description properly. Ahhh..... Numpty me.
Was a little hesitant to thrust my hand in where it shouldn't go, so I used the camera on my iPhone to take a peek.
Out with the cache and log it. Someone has left a small pencil.
Thanks for the cache and the series.

Nice walk through here today. Missed out on two of this series as the kids lost interest due to the difficulty. Great hides. Actually found this cache spread across the ground about 5m from it's location. Replaced back ok.
While my wife attended a conference in Launceston I was allowed to go caching for two days in and around the Launceston Area. In the end I managed to go through to Derby and get the icem cache I wanted to find, through to Kayena and check my caches there and clear out the majority of Launceston Traditionals that were actually there. The only one that I failed to get was "Power to the People", where I simply ran out of time.
This was a great hide. I actually tapped the cache with my phone to make sure it was not real!!! Congratulation on a great hide. I think I in particular should have come up with this great cache idea first.

Tassie Trekkers congratulations on one of the best series I have completed since I started caching.
To now, caches and hides have been terrific but this one is magnificent!!! Wish I could post some photographs of the final cache for the rest of Australia to see, but no way cachers, you have to go and find out for yourselves.
From five to six took a little longer but the views on the way were more intriguing. I've walked the entire track, instead of taking the car as I normally would and have been totally engrossed the whole way. A great little bush walk. Thanks.
Ran out of track, something wrong. Nah! OldSaint, follow the needle and see what happens.
A few more wallabies scared from their hides and again the tunes of the birds fill the air. A couple of "wild doves" flit away. Their feather colouring is pretty.
There is the final cache. More than a perfect ending to a magnificent series of caches. Thank you for the very pleasant experience. Signed the log at 1313hrs.
Now for the walk back and find GC388 on the way.
Thanks for the six caches, a lovely nature walk and a beaut all round experience.
Cheers OldSaint.

Last in a great series. Thanks for the effort that has gone into planning this series and creating the fantastic hides. Loved the last cache, but who's head height? Good thing Mr W is taller than me.

A Challenging series of caches that obviosuly a lot of time and effort had gone into. Thanks Tassie Trekkers
Congratulations to Tassie Trekkers for putting out this excellent series. Obviously a lot of work went into crafting the caches...well done. Also the coords were spot on at each one.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
A Fantastic end to a fantastic series.
Well crafted, well executed and we just loved the little surprise at the end.
One of the best series of caches I've done in ages, I was initially dreading the fact they were micros but the whole thing was so well done I feel ashamed of my hides.
Thanks for hiding these and an even bigger thanks from me for hiding them on Geocaching Australia!
For other cachers: do yourself a favour and do these in order, it's a terrific walk!
It was an honour and a privilege to do these fine caches.

What a great cammo job on this one. I particualarly liked the little guardian of the cache doing a great job of keeping the log warm and dry. Many thanks for a great series

Wow!! What a great hide. Really impressed our muggle friends who had done the series with us. Thanks for a great day caching!! Now back to our camp at Batman Bridge for happy hour. Cheers!!
Whilst there is a very definite theme to the caches in this series, each is very distinctive with carefully planned and extremely well constructed hides with the coordinates being very accurate. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk through this part of the reserve, sharing the company of wallabies, an echidna (which we though should be hibernating), black cockatoos and robin red breasts. We loved the container in which the cache had been placed - typical of the area. We were surprised that it had remained unfound - so, we will claim the FTF at 9:55. Thanks for a great series TassieTrekkers
