Description
White rock bridge is said to still be here though not where it was intended to be, some say it is still at the bottom of the river, some say it is to deep to tell for sure.
the bridge was knocked down in the early 1970's when the last big flood came through.
750mil camo container with a few swaps.

Looks like the cache may have been washed away so we’ll archive to stop others looking for something that is more than likely gone....
it appears that the last find was before the 2016 floods and this area was along way under water so I believe that it been washed away.
today when i was travelling back through to home i thought id stop an have a quick look for this one, being aware that it hadn't had a found logged since before the 2016 floods i was not at all confident in finding the cache as this area was a long way under water during the floods.
i searched the ground zone thoroughly and found a likely spot where cache may have been but there was no cache here just a lot of rubbish, which is such a disappointment to see so much rubbish here as this is a great swimming spot during the summer months.

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
We headed out from Sheffield to explore the local area with Smokie5054. Shame that it started to rain, but we visited Railton and just loved the topiaries.
Stopped by here for lunch but hoping to see platypus but sadly no luck at lunch time today. Cache was located safe and well though.

Lived here for years and discovered this so signed up. I got lucky so decided to share. Great reward for the next finder

Thought we were stuffed with this one as a couple of campervans were ensconced for the duration down below, but when we got to GZ we found we were well hidden. Based on the height of the approach, that was SOME flood!
An easy find on a beautiful winter afternoon. We've driven past this spot many times but never stopped.
Great river views. Its a shame its also used as a rubbish dump.. TNLN Thanks

Had had a big day in the Triple Top event on Mt Roland, and was heading back to Hobart. With this one being hardly off the track I stopped to make the find. Interesting peering over where the bridge used to be. Thanks Moeyy.
Found on my way over west yet again.
Showed a guy from work a little of what geocaching was about, I think I might have a convert soon!
Thanks for the cache!

Dropped by on the way home this afternoon. That is a nice little drop over the lip where the bridge once stood. Left a squishy frog. Took nothing. TFTC

Nice quick find in a favourite spot on the way back from Cradle. TFTC and the history!
Hi Moeyy
This cache reminded me of the days I used to teach in Devonport and how I travelled this area on fishing and shooting expeditions. Caught some nice trout here on many an occasion. Thanks for the good memories reminder.
The cache was found quickly. I logged it as my third find of 21 for the day. Logged the cache at 1045hrs.
There was a beautiful duck on the river.
Had friends who ran and owned the flower "farm" down the road; that was a while ago though.
A great cache, cheers for now; OldSaint.

Geo Kid E wanted a day off as he had not had a sick day this year and thought it was unfair that his brothers and sisters had each had at least one day off sick. So for the last day of school for the term we decided to have a caching trip to Ulverstone, via Sheffield.
Thank you for the cache and for being part of our day out.
First cache for the day. Geo Kid E found the cache while I was streching from the drive from Hobart. Geo Kid E found it in the first place he searched. Noticed condom wrapper and used condom nearby - luckly not seen by Geo Kid E. Geo Kid E took two cards and left Key Tag and Plastic Domino

Easy drive by. Shame its out of season for fishing then I wouldnt have noticed the graphic material nearby because I would have been too busy looking for fish Thanks for the cache Moeyy
Quick find on the way to Lonnie. Used to traverse this bridge quite regulary in my younger days (long time ago now). TFTC
How nice it felt to find a cache container we could see without glasses, lol. Feels like we have been finding nano's forever. This was another location that we had passed many times and never knew was here. Great job Moeyy thanks for the cache.

One of us can definitely remember the White Rock Bridge because of friends who lived nearby back in the 1960s. The current bridge and road realingnment are certainly a vast improvement. A quick find once near GZ although it was a tight fit to extract the cache and there was a fight with some persistent blackberries (but they didn't stand a chance when a cache was at stake).
