Description
We placed this cache whilst on a 4x4 drive in the bush. You dont need a 4x4 to get to it if you start your trip from the west but if you decide to come in from the east, which we think is the most fun way, you will need a 4x4 for added grip and clearance. On our trip we spotted this beaut tree that deserved to be recognised so we placed the cache with the hope that it may be remembered after it has been made into the thing the world is using less of every day (PAPER). Support this tree - it may need us to survive. We are quite sure you will find your way to the cache using google maps. Take your lunch and a long length of string just in case you get lost. Enjoy the bush - its there for us all.

Thanks guys for looking after the cache and making it safe. Glad you enjoyed the track.
Collected this cache whilst investigating the Brushy Lagoon area. Approached from the lumpy bumpy direction. Had to resort to 4wd in one of the deeper holes although I'm sure that had we wished, it could have been full on 4wd mud fun all the way through. With no winch and the family on board I picked the conservative route through the puddles!
Cache had been put in lid down and consequently had about 10mm of water in it. Log book was still in good condition so we drained the water out, dried everything as best we could then replaced with lid up.
Thanks for this cache, we enjoyed it.

Its been a while since anyone has been to this one and so it was great that ST found it safe. If you was to ramp up the experience try finding it comming from the east in a couple of months. The excitment factor is way higher. Might need some extra zip in the 4x4 then ST,lol. Thats an in joke and he will get it.
Came in from the West along Dolerite Road....so easy going.... 2wd would get within 300m or so on good road. Cache is all well beside his biiiiig freind. The bush was filled with birds chirping all over...a really beaut peaceful spot to be and a long time since out this way. Enjoyed the revisit heaps...many thanks FTC Landy-Clan...Cheers.

Approached this one from the east on the 4 wheeler. The boys have certainly been having some fun down this track!! Cache quickly in hand. Thanks.
Finally got the Pajero on the road again - so decided to give it a shake-down and grab this cache. This has the extra bonus of giving co-ords to the start of the 4WD track so I didn't get as long this time The cache was rather empty, so I left a dinosaur and soldier to guard it. TFTC!

Today we headed off to parts of the North East and to Launceston to look for some caches that had been published whilst we were away. Things went very well so we decided to come home via the Exeter Highway and drop into Brushy Lagoon to check out the area and, if we were really lucky, locate this cache. We don't know the area at all. We tried one route but it became too rough and was heading in the wrong direction. We tried another, this heading towards the cache but at about 1.8km from the cache we decided that we had too much respect for our car to drive it any further. So, given the time and possibility of good light for a couple of hours, we set out on "Shanks Pony" along a very rough road (presume this is the one from the east referred to in the notes). Despite dodging many deep puddles and muddy areas, it was a pleasant walk in the late afternoon. In a short time we were at GZ where a quick find was made. Overall the return walk took just under an hour. TFTC Landy_clan
2nd to find after Tassie Trekker at 1031. Drove in just short of cache by 300 m so hitched a ride with Tassie Trekkers in their geocruiser. Great day for caching. TFTC. TNLN.
